Chapter 20: Sworn To The Dark

Chapter 20: Sworn to the Dark

Lia's heart was racing as she and Maximo ran through the streets. They had to get out of there, had to escape the danger that was lurking in every shadow.

As they ran, Lia couldn't help but think about the choices she had made. She had joined forces with Maximo, had sworn to help him take down Alessandro.

But at what cost?

Lia's eyes locked onto Maximo's, her mind racing with questions. What was she getting herself into? What kind of world was she entering?

Maximo's eyes locked onto hers, his expression serious. "We're almost there," he said. "Just a little further."

Lia nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. She could feel the darkness closing in around her, could feel the weight of her choices bearing down on her.

As they turned a corner, Lia saw a building looming in front of them. It was an old warehouse, its walls covered in graffiti.

Maximo pushed open the door, his eyes locked onto Lia's. "Welcome to our new home," he said.

Lia's eyes widened as she stepped inside. The warehouse was dimly lit, the only light coming from a few flickering candles.

As she looked around, Lia saw that the warehouse was filled with people. People who were loyal to Maximo, people who were sworn to the dark.

Lia's eyes locked onto Maximo's, her mind racing with questions. What kind of world was this? What kind of people were these?

Maximo's eyes locked onto hers, his expression serious. "This is our world, Lia," he said. "A world of darkness and shadows."

Lia nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she had made a choice, a choice to enter this world.

And now, she was sworn to the dark.

As Lia looked around, she saw that the people in the warehouse were watching her. They were waiting to see what she would do, waiting to see if she was truly committed to their cause.

Lia's eyes locked onto Maximo's, her mind racing with questions. What did she do now? What kind of leader was she supposed to be?

Maximo's eyes locked onto hers, his expression serious. "You need to prove yourself, Lia," he said. "You need to show them that you're worthy of their loyalty."

Lia nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she had a long way to go, knew that she had a lot to learn.

But she was ready. She was ready to take on the challenge, ready to prove herself.

As Lia looked around, she saw that the people in the warehouse were nodding. They were accepting her, accepting her as one of their own.

And Lia knew that she was home. She was home in the darkness, home in the shadows.

She was sworn to the dark, and she would do whatever it took to protect it.
