"Master, this disciple is guilty."
In the main residence, as soon as Han Ping saw Chu Feng, he knelt down with a face full of remorse.
This move left everyone present bewildered.
All eyes turned to Han Ping, filled with confusion. Even Chu Feng had a baffled expression.
"Get up first. In our Miscellaneous Dao Academy, we don't do this sort of thing."
Han Ping stood up after hearing this and took out a green jade bottle from his storage pouch.
"While telling my story, I hid a great stroke of fortune…"
He mustered all his courage and recounted to everyone how he found this bottle, and how he cultivated using it.
What surprised Han Ping was that, after hearing his story, no one looked shocked—instead, they gave him strange looks.
It was as if their eyes were saying, 'I was ready for some juicy gossip, and this is all you've got?'
"No other experiences?"
Chu Feng asked subconsciously.
Han Ping shook his head, puzzled. "Master, is my experience not legendary enough, or is this bottle not actually a treasure?"
Chu Feng took a sip of tea and glanced at the bottle in Han Ping's hand.
"Qin'er, you explain it to him."
"Yes."
Qin Qin bowed and stepped forward. "Junior Brother Han, forgive me for being frank—your experiences are very ordinary by our academy's standards. That bottle isn't even as good as Uncle Nie's wine gourd."
"Huh?"
Han Ping was dumbfounded. He always thought his own experiences were second to none, that he was a child of destiny. For more than thirty years, he seemed ordinary to outsiders—just another person on the path to immortality. But he believed he was especially fortunate. Otherwise, how could he stand out among tens of thousands of cultivators and enter the Miscellaneous Dao Academy?
Qin Qin said, "Now that First Senior Brother and Second Senior Brother aren't here, let me tell you about some of our fellow disciples' experiences…"
After a long while, Han Ping finished listening to the stories of his senior brothers and sisters and couldn't help but sigh, "So I really am quite ordinary."
Chu Feng smiled. "Ordinary people have their own ordinary path. Now that you two have entered my tutelage, let's begin the formal disciple ceremony."
"Yes."
Han Ping and Caiyi both responded.
Elder Bing thoughtfully prepared two cups of tea and asked the new disciples to present them.
Han Ping glanced at Caiyi. "Senior Sister, after you."
Caiyi didn't refuse. She nodded, picked up the cup, and was the first to present tea to Chu Feng.
After the ceremony, Chu Feng asked, "Caiyi, what is your surname?"
Caiyi shook her head lightly. "I have completely abandoned my old name. Since I always wear colorful clothing, I gave myself this name. If Master finds it inappropriate, please grant me a new one."
Chu Feng smiled. "As they say, 'A teacher for a day is a father for life.' Now that you are my disciple and have no surname, take mine."
"Thank you, Master."
Caiyi stood up, her face full of joy.
Soon after, Han Ping also completed the disciple ceremony.
Chu Feng asked, "I never restrict my disciples in their choice of cultivation or techniques. Is there any particular technique you two wish to learn?"
Caiyi shook her head. "I know nothing about cultivation—up until now, I've been an ordinary person. Whatever Master teaches me, I will learn."
Chu Feng asked with a smile, "What do you love most in life?"
"Dancing."
Caiyi's eyes sparkled as she said this.
Chu Feng didn't hesitate. "Then you shall enter the Dao through dance. In seven days, I'll prepare a suitable cultivation method for you."
Han Ping was left speechless. He had heard from Senior Brother Ye that their master was strong, but he hadn't expected that their master could compose a new technique in just seven days.
"It's your turn."
Chu Feng smiled at Han Ping, who looked thoughtful.
Although he'd been in three sects before, he'd only ever practiced techniques related to the five elements. For a moment, he didn't know what he should choose.
"Master, I don't know what I should cultivate."
"Then think it over and give me an answer within three days," Chu Feng said, as always.
"Thank you, Master."
Han Ping retreated to his seat.
After lunch—
Chu Feng went straight to his study to ponder which technique to create for Caiyi.
Using dance to enter the Dao was just a method. The most important thing was the actual cultivation technique.
Chu Feng felt a headache coming on at this thought. After all, there was still another hidden problem inside Caiyi—an internal time bomb. She might not be able to learn ordinary techniques.
Whether that soul was a second soul she was born with, or the move of some powerful expert, one thing was clear: the soul was a separate consciousness.
It was completely different from his disciple Caiyi. Now that Caiyi was his disciple, as her master, he couldn't just stand by and let her be taken over.
Time passed slowly.
Chu Feng stayed in his study for an entire day and night.
During that time, he not only recalled all the invincible techniques he'd read about in his previous life, but also took out the notes of the previous deans of the Miscellaneous Dao Academy.
These notes weren't ordinary diaries, but spiritual treasures.
The higher the reader's cultivation, the more they could see. Now, Chu Feng could read records about divine emperors.
But all the past deans had left only a few words on that subject.
And all those words revolved around the concept of "True God Totem."
Elder Bing saw that Chu Feng was in seclusion and didn't disturb him.
Three days later, a voice rang out from the study.
"How did I forget this? Use magic to defeat magic!"
Since the other soul inside Caiyi was so powerful, the technique he would give her should focus on training the divine sense and strengthening the soul.
As long as Caiyi's soul was indestructible, she could outlast the other soul. That other soul would get a taste of what it means to go up against a true local.
Thinking of this, Chu Feng smiled. "I really want to see the look on that soul's face when, after breaking twelve seals, it finds a soul even stronger and more indestructible than itself."
With a clear direction, Chu Feng quickly narrowed his search for suitable techniques, getting ready to tailor a method for Caiyi.
Just as he was deep in thought, a familiar voice interrupted him.
"Disciple Han Ping seeks an audience with Master."
"Come in."
Chu Feng paused his work and spoke toward the door. With a casual flick, the study door slowly opened.
Han Ping walked in respectfully…====================================================================================
