"What?!"
Shock. Utter astonishment.
Violet and Rebecca widened their eyes in disbelief, staring blankly at the spot where Chris had just stood. Their beautiful eyes were filled with sheer terror, completely frozen in place.
They couldn't react—they were utterly stunned!
Unbelievable. Chris's Repel Space was overwhelmingly powerful.
The room fell into silence, lingering for a long time.
"So strong…" Rebecca murmured, her fair, delicate face showing amazement as she whispered, "This is the so-called Repel Space? It's terrifying."
"Lord Chris is truly incredible. I admire him so much." Violet shook her head, her lovely face filled with complex emotions as she sighed.
"Even though I knew everything he said was true, knowing is one thing—seeing it is another."
"Such a bizarre ability… Who would believe it if you told them? That someone could actually traverse space?"
"Indeed, Chris is the strongest. He will definitely defeat Doflamingo and save Dressrosa."
Violet clenched her small fists, her expression brimming with excitement. "Two years—at most two years—and we'll be able to live good lives again. No more fear, no more hiding!"
"Damn Doflamingo, your end is near. When the time comes, I'll personally kill you to avenge Mother!"
Rebecca nodded firmly, humming in agreement. "Me too. When that time comes, I'll also take revenge. We can't let that bastard off easy!"
"Meeting such a powerful man like Chris, Doflamingo is destined to lose miserably. There's no other possibility."
Rebecca blinked her beautiful eyes, looking at Violet with a playful smile. "Auntie, what do you think of Chris?"
Violet sat back on the chair, crossing her legs elegantly, exuding grace and charm.
"Isn't it obvious? He's incredibly strong and outstanding."
"Honestly, in all my life, I've never met a man more exceptional than him. He's truly remarkable."
Resting her chin on her hand, Violet gave Rebecca a teasing once-over and chuckled. "What, do you have feelings for him?"
"Actually, the age gap between you two isn't that big. You'd make a good match."
"How about it? Should your auntie play matchmaker and get you two together?"
"Look at how handsome Chris is, how powerful, how mature and composed. He's definitely going to become a great figure in the future."
Just as Violet was about to continue, Rebecca interrupted her.
Rebecca rolled her eyes and huffed. "I'm still too young to be thinking about romance. Auntie, stop talking nonsense!"
"But you, on the other hand—you're already in your twenties. Shouldn't you hurry up and find someone?"
Rebecca rested her chin on her hand, her eyes glinting mischievously as she grinned.
"Auntie, I think you and Chris would make a great couple. Why don't you try talking to him?"
"I feel like the two of you would be very compatible. You could definitely end up together and live a happy life."
"Hehe, imagine having such a powerful uncle-in-law. Just thinking about it is exciting!"
"No one would dare bully me then, and I'd have such prestige!"
Rebecca leaned forward, her face full of excitement as she urged, "Well? Auntie, doesn't that sound great?"
"Don't hesitate—just decide now! Starting today, you're going to pursue Chris. Hehe~"
Knock, knock, knock…
Just then, a knock came from the door. King Riku's respectful voice sounded from outside.
"Lord Chris, may I come in?"
Rebecca and Violet exchanged glances and burst into laughter.
"Father, come in."
Violet turned toward the door, smiling sweetly.
Rebecca shrugged and pouted. "Father is way too deferential to Chris. It feels kinda weird."
King Riku walked in, his expression warm and kind. "This is respect for the strong. There's nothing strange about it."
"On the seas, age doesn't matter—strength is everything."
"By the way, how long has Lord Chris been gone?"
Violet tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled. "Not long, just a few minutes."
"Father, we've already reached an agreement with Chris. He'll definitely deal with Doflamingo within two years."
"So for now, we should continue lying low and wait patiently for the next two years to pass."
"What do you think, Father?"
Rebecca nodded repeatedly in agreement. "Exactly! If Chris says so, then there's definitely no problem."
"Grandpa, let's just treat it as a break. Relax for two years, okay?"
"You've been so busy lately, barely spending any time with me. If this keeps up, I'm going to get mad!"
King Riku sat down and smiled. "Taking a break for two years is fine. I can agree to that."
"With Chris's help, there's no doubt we'll succeed. I'm completely at ease."
"Alright, let's move on to another topic."
His expression turned serious as he looked at the two of them and spoke solemnly.
"You both know just how powerful Chris is."
"He's far too important to us. We must hold onto him tightly and maintain this relationship."
"And the best way to maintain a relationship is through marriage."
King Riku's face was full of hope as he declared, "Violet, Rebecca—I intend for one of you to marry Chris and become his woman."
"If one of you marries him, he'll surely continue helping us, and Dressrosa will undoubtedly develop rapidly."
"Well, discuss it between yourselves."
With that, King Riku stood up, his back turned to them as he sighed.
"If you truly don't like Chris, then forget I said anything."
"But sometimes, for the sake of the country, a little sacrifice is unavoidable. Sigh…"
Shaking his head, he walked toward the door, his figure appearing somewhat hunched, exuding a sense of loneliness.
Silence.
The room fell into a heavy quiet.
Earlier, the two of them had just been joking around, teasing each other without any real intention behind their words.
But now, King Riku had turned their playful banter into reality.
It was all too unbelievable.
"I thought Father wouldn't actually say these things, but in the end, he did. Hmm…"
Violet rubbed her temples and sighed, her beautiful face showing helplessness.
Rebecca, still processing King Riku's words, grew even more confused.
Frowning, she asked in bewilderment, "Auntie, did you notice something?"
"And why would Grandpa say such things? We're already cooperating with Chris. Why would we need a marriage alliance?"
"Is Grandpa getting senile? Talking nonsense?"
Violet shook her head with a bitter smile. "You still don't get it? Father didn't actually have urgent matters earlier—he left on purpose."
"Why? To give us time alone with Chris, to create opportunities for us."
"Did you really think he had important business? No way."
Rebecca was a clever girl. The moment she heard this, she understood and immediately grew angry.
"How could Grandpa do this? We don't even know Chris well, yet he's making arrangements. It's so infuriating!"
"No, I'm going to talk to Grandpa and make him drop this idea."
"Matters of the heart can't be forced. This is way too much!"
Glaring at Violet, Rebecca declared indignantly, "Auntie, we absolutely cannot agree to this. We have to refuse firmly!"
Seeing Rebecca's adorable reaction, Violet couldn't help but chuckle and wave her hand dismissively.
"It's not as serious as you think. Actually, this might be a good thing."
"A young man as outstanding as Chris—of course many women would like him. That's undeniable."
"As for me… I'm quite interested in him. I want to get to know him better and see how things go."
Violet tucked her hair behind her ear, blinking mischievously as she teased, "Don't tell me you don't like him?"
"Auntie knows—you definitely like him too. Am I wrong?"
Rebecca scoffed and retorted, "I just think he's amazing and admire him. I don't have those kinds of feelings!"
Then, curiously, she asked, "Auntie, do you really like Chris? You're not joking?"
Violet shook her head slightly, smiling wryly. "I can't say for sure, but I do have a good impression of him."
"Well, I'll try spending time with him and see how it goes."
Rebecca's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Not just 'try'—you have to succeed!"
"Auntie, make Chris my uncle! Don't hesitate—you have to chase him hard!"
Violet rolled her eyes and said irritably, "Stop meddling. Your auntie will make her own decisions."
"Alright, I've been out for a while now. It's time to go back before Doflamingo gets suspicious."
With that, she stood up and walked toward the door with elegant, noble strides.
"Good luck, Auntie! You have to win Chris over! Hehe~"
Rebecca watched Violet's retreating figure, her eyes gleaming with mischief as she giggled playfully.
Violet snorted but didn't respond. She simply opened the door and left.
