Next Morning

Arjun was thrilled to see his favourite pancakes and even more delighted that Meera was making them.

“Wow, pancakes! Do you make them?” he asked.

“Yes,” Meera replied.

“Who taught you?”

“I learned it from the internet.”

Arjun raised his eyebrows.

“Oh, that’s what you searched for while lying under the bed last evening?”

Meera was dumbfounded. So, Arjun thought she had done that to surprise him? That was great!

“Seems like you’ve started using your phone a lot?”

“I only use it when necessary.”

“Mmm. They taste so good. You should have some, too.”

“Wait, Arjunji… I’ll bring you maple syrup!” she said purposely, wanting to see if he liked it.

Arjun chuckled.

“Maple syrup? For me? Meera, just yesterday, you were worrying about my health.”

“Han. So?”

“Diabetics like me shouldn’t even think about maple syrup; it raises blood sugar levels.”

Meera’s face brightened upon hearing that.
