Meera asked Narmadha for permission to go to Simran’s house. Narmadha readily agreed, but she noticed Meera hesitating to ask her something. 


“What happened, Meera? Is there something you want to say?” 


Narmadha looked at her, surprised. “Is anything serious, Meera?” 


“You taught me to eat with Arjunji, right?” Narmadha nodded in agreement. “Arjunji has gotten used to it, Amma. He’s not eating without me these days. Since I’m not in OM, he comes home late every day, and it’s not good for him since he is diabetic. It worries me, Amma.” 


“But there are many people in OM who can care for him, right?” she asked purposely. 


“Will they take care of him like I do?” Meera replied. Narmadha shook her head with a smile. “No one can do it.” 


Meera became excited. “That’s why I want to go to OM. (pause) Please understand me, Amma. I promise I will come to see you whenever I have time. Shall I go?”
