Part 46: Who’s That?
Meera started running aimlessly. Suddenly, she sensed someone chasing her on a bike. In just a few seconds, the bike drew closer to her. Wearing a helmet, the biker pulled her onto his lap, momentarily stopped the bike, and entered a nearby park. Meera struggled at first but then stopped when the familiar smell of the biker reached her. She touched his shoulders to examine him, then hugged him tightly and cried.
"Arjunji…"
Arjun stopped the bike and removed his helmet. He noticed her body was shivering.
"What happened? Hey..."
Meera raised her head and hit his shoulder gently.
"Do you know how scared I was?"
"But why?"
"Because the driver didn’t say anything to me."
"That’s because he didn’t know anything. I just asked him to bring you here."
"Why didn’t you tell me anything earlier?"
"You didn’t pick up my call. Didn’t you see my missed call?"
Meera nodded in affirmation. He wiped her tears with his thumb.
