Chapter 18: Two Divine Level Entries

After retrieving the healing bracelet, Kanzaki Kenzo cast a quick spell to stabilize Hyoudou Issei's life force, carefully adjusting its flow.

"All that's left is to alter his memory. Then he can return to living normally."

"Leave it to me."

Rias took out a memory-altering artifact and placed it gently on Issei's forehead. As she began weaving the new memories, Kanzaki opened his entry panel and checked the latest addition.

[You Are All My Wings] (Legendary): "Each time you gain the affection of a female, your charm increases by 100% and your training efficiency by 100%. Stackable up to 12 times."

Note: Currently stacked twice. Acknowledged sources: Koneko Toujou and Sona Sitri.

Kanzaki rubbed his eyes and muttered, "I think I just saw something crazy."

After Rias finished modifying Issei's memories and looked up, she found Kanzaki staring at her in disbelief.

"What's with that look?"

"I think I just confirmed something... insane," Kanzaki said, blinking.

"Like what?"

"Sona's into me."

"...What?"

For a rare moment, Rias was left speechless. She blinked, then narrowed her eyes. "Are you feeling alright?"

"I'm perfectly fine."

Rias crossed her arms. "I know Sona's taste. I'll double-check her preferences and send them your way later."

"You've got it wrong."

"I didn't say I was helping you court her. I just don't regulate my servants' love lives."

Kanzaki raised a brow but decided not to argue. If she misunderstood, let her. It worked in his favor.

The more affection he gathered, the faster his growth. If this entry maxed out, his training speed would soar by 1200%. Pair that with his existing physical enhancement entry, and he'd reach a 1500% bonus.

Of course, figuring out what counted as "affection" was another matter entirely.

His gaze shifted back to Rias.

"Rias, I heard you have a fiancé."

"Yes. My family arranged it."

She sighed heavily. "They've been pushing for the engagement to move forward."

"Want me to help end it?"

"Huh?"

"I remember you once said devils settle disputes through Rating Games. Challenge him. If you win, you can nullify the engagement."

"That might actually work…"

Her fiancé was Riser Phenex, third son of the prestigious Phenex clan. A powerful pure-blood devil.

But with Kanzaki on her side—someone who had both the strength of a high-class devil and the god-slaying boosted gear—she could crush Riser easily.

"Wait, why are you helping me with this out of the blue?" Rias squinted at him, suspicion growing.

"Trying to use this to get Sona's help with something?"

"No. I'm aiming for you."

"What?"

Rias froze, her eyes widening.

"Polygamy is accepted in devil society, right? A few more on my side shouldn't be a problem."

"...I suppose it's not."

"Good. Talk to your family. I'll handle the rest."

Taking down Riser would net him at least one epic entry, maybe a bunch of rare entries depending on his peerage. Either way, it was a win.

Leaving a stunned Rias behind, Kanzaki carried Issei away.

---

Back at his house, Kanzaki opened the door and was greeted by a familiar sight.

"Welcome home, Master."

Toyokawa Shoko greeted him in her maid outfit, feather duster in hand.

Over the past few weeks, she had grown into the role. Her demeanor, tone, and attention to detail had all improved.

"Shoko, what do you think of me?"

"What… do you mean, Master?"

"Be honest. Your first impressions. Just say it straight."

Weird question, she thought. But this wasn't the first time he'd asked something out of left field.

She gave it some thought, then replied earnestly.

"You're an exercise maniac, rich, generous, approachable, and a genuinely good person."

And kind of handsome, but she kept that part to herself.

"Any downsides?"

"The training is straight up murder. I feel like I'm knocking on death's door every day."

She turned serious.

The first two weeks had nearly broken her. She fainted repeatedly from the intensity. Lately, she was lasting longer, but it still felt like dying.

Which was why he had to heal her constantly. Otherwise, she joked, even her ashes wouldn't weigh more than three kilos.

"Any other questions, Master?"

"No. Get back to work."

As she returned to her chores, Kanzaki sat in thought.

Training her was costing too much with little gain in return. He'd formed a mental bias already.

Wings like Rias—combat-ready, strategic, and emotionally valuable—offered way more. If she fell for him, great. If not, still a decent return.

Having made up his mind, Kanzaki pulled open the entry warehouse.

He had been farming cursed spirits non-stop lately and racked up enough entries. With today's haul from the church raid, he finally had what he needed.

Time to unlock another slot.

Instead of merging rare into a epic entry, he selected a batch of low-tier entries and cashed them in to unlock his eighth slot.

With the addition of the Boosted Gear and his latest rewards, his panel now looked like this:

[Kanzaki Kenzo]

Race: Dragon, Devil, human

Strength: level 3

Entries:

Spiritual Healing Bracelet (Rare)

Calm Athlete (Epic)

Warrior (Epic)

Senjutsu Mastery (Epic)

Destruction Magic (Legendary)

You Are All My Wings (Legendary)

Boosted Gear ( Divine)

Infinite Potential (divine)

The healing bracelet remained one of his core entries, especially for utility and switching slots.

Three epics, two legendaries, one mythic, and one unique. The spread was starting to look absurd.

"You're next."

Kanzaki's gaze settled on the crimson gauntlet on his right arm. He focused his mind and channeled his will into it.
