Chapter 3

"Doctor," Alexis knocked and entered Dr. Layham's office. "Alex, I thought you'll move the check up tomorrow?" A middle aged man on his desk looked at Alexis with raised eyebrows.

Dr. Layham stood up and motioned Alexis to sit on the sofa while he headed to a counter to make a cup of tea for his visitor. "There's a problem." The doctor turned towards him and placed a cup of hot tea on the coffee table in front of him. "Tell me, I'm all ears."

Alexis told doctor about the invitation,"Do you have anything that can temporarily act as pain killer until the party is over? It is a celebration and alcohol is a part of it, I cannot reject all alcohol that would be offered to me. Its inevitable for me to not drink." He said, picking up the tea cup and taking a sip from it.

The doctor knitted his eyebrows as he sat, and looked at him bothered. He is hesitating if he should tell him that he has one, but using it might worsen his condition. Even if it can temporarily block pain, the surging pain would be much worst than the former pain. It also would wore off after just 30 minutes.

"Doctor, seeing your expression. I assume you have it. I need it, it is a party thrown by the ruler, I need to attend." Alexis understood that the hesitation of the doctor is because there is a much heavier weight to be considered. He gazed fervently at the doctor.

The doctor sighed and hesitatingly told him, "I have something like that, however, it can only block the pain for just about 30 minutes after your consumption and the pain after the medicine wore off would be much more intense and worst." That won't do, the party could last longer than 30 minutes. "Can it be consumed again after it wore off? 30 minutes is too short." It is still useless if it could just last for just 30 minutes.

"Yes, but it can only be consumed consecutively for three times and consuming it after another would be like gathering all blocked pain together. You might not handle all that if such." Dr. Layham knew by just looking at Alexis that he had made up his mind.

"Alexis, I advice you not to do that. It might worsen your condition again!" He worriedly said, trying to persuade the young man in front of him. "Doctor, is there other choice for me? I cannot reject that invitation, for such reason. It'd be disrespectful to the royals and if I tell them the reason why i can't intake alcohol, that would risk us. We've already been hiding my condition for the longest time."

Dr. Latham, slumped on the chair knowing that what Alexis had said was true. "When is the gathering?" Asked him.

"On the 1st day of the twelfth month." Alexis replied looking apologetically towards the haggard-looking doctor.

"Two months, huh? I'll try my best to research another medicine for you, I cannot promise that I could do that with just limited time though." The doctor entwined is hands, supporting his chin, thinking fervently.

"Then, thank you doctor, however don't stress on it deeply, if you can't make it, I don't mind using the first option. One and a half hour will be enough for me. As for the aftereffects, I'm not afraid to face it." The doctor scrunched his eyebrows, nonetheless did not utter any word. "Just inform me doctor if you found one, I need to go now, I still have a meeting and another appointment to attend." Alexis stood up and bid the doctor farewell. "Just a second Alexis! Let me give you a check up first before you go. While you're here already." He said stopping the young man on his tracks.

Back at his own office, Alexis slumped on the sofa and lied for a moment. The headache still haven't subsided, his eyelids became heavy and he slowly drifted off to sleep.

"-Al! Look! Look! I bought you this!" A beautiful cool voice excitedly said. A fiery, crimson red hair, yet again appeared in front of him, this time his thin, red scarlet lips was clear to be seen, hooking into a beautiful smile. The crimson haired, young man in front of him enthusiastically fetched a beautiful black opal bracelet from his pocket. "I got this from an auction, Look at it closely." The young man placed it on his hand and urge him to look at it closely. Placing it in front of his eyes the little black opals were like little galaxies on his hands. "When I saw it, I suddenly thought of your eyes. Beautiful black orbs that with shimmering lights like a galaxy." Smilingly happily, the young man explained.

Alexis suddenly opened his eyes, the headache already disappeared. Remembering his dream, the young man was slowly revealing its appearance. That fiery, scarlet hair was something he couldn't shook off his mind. The way he talked to him, seems like they were really close. 'It's just a dream. No further meaning.' However, the feeling of longing still lingered deep in his heart. A knock came upon the door of his office. He voiced the person to come in, Anthony walked respectfully towards his brother and said, "Brother, the spacecraft to Westein Galaxy is ready." Alexis acknowledgingly hummed. He fixed his clothes and headed straight to the spacecraft. Anthony trailed behind him.

Arriving at Westein Galaxy, he exited the spacecraft without haste. "Sir Mayhem," greeted a middle aged man. They walked inside a huge facility, tall intimidating mechs came to their sight. "The S-d13 is ready to be tested." Stated one man with curly brown hair and thick black rimmed glasses, the head mechanic, Jared.

"Who's operating it?" Asked Alexis.

"It is General Levin from the Jade Galaxy." He nodded his head absent-mindedly, then headed to the testing range. "Wait, General?" Alexis stopped on his track realizing it was hi uncle again. He expected that it could be a Captain at most. "Yes, I was surprised myself too when the general suddenly appeared personally." Excitedly said Jared.

In front the testing area, there stood General Levin bearing the dignified air of a soldier and the aura of a person who already fought many wars. "Hello, Al. It's is nice to see you again." General Levin nodded his head as a greeting, "Why are you here again uncle? Aren't you summoned to Jade Galaxy? " Alexis Asked. "Yes, I was summoned but of course I heared of this new mech of my nephew so I need to see and try it out. " General Levin happily said. "You really have a lot of time, Uncle. " replied Alexis sighing helplessly at his mischievous Uncle.

General Levin , has a black, clean undecut hair and brown eyes, and a vertical scar on his eyebrows, which added an imposing aura of a soldier on his whole being.

This person was also well-known about his formidable skills in fighting and mecha operating. He is also the right hand man of the current ruler, also His Majesty's trusted friend.

They started testing the new mecha to be released. It was skillfully maneuvered by General Levin, and passed the tests.

"How was piloting it?" Asked Alexis to the General. General Levin, excitedly replied, "It is easy and simple to operate, and the power is simply incredible. It is the best mecha that I'd ever operated. The speed is really amazing. Of course, what do I expect to the well known Alexis. " he said while rubbing Alexis' hair fondly.

"Well, it is built with a new invented power source that sir Mayhem, researched himself, making it be able to operate for a longer duration. The parts are also improved, from just being, a metal hollowed machinery, It is now placed with the newly found metal from one of the planets in Mayana galaxy, and was made and was designed to have muscle-like structures, to gain more durability and strength." Explained Jared, enthusiastically. "If that's the case, how come it is not heavy? And did not lose its speed but also improved it?" General Levin asked out of curiosity, "If they made it have a muscle-like structure, wouldn't that make the mecha more heavy?" he added.

"It's nothing special. After inspecting the metal found in Metrie Planet in Mayana Galaxy, I found out that it has a composition that other metals don't have. I experimented it and found that if you add a certain element on it, it'd lose some of its sense of weight but not it's durability. That's the reason why it gained speed rather than be decreased." Alexis, who was sitting cross-legged on a nearby sofa explained nonchalantly.

He then stood up to ready himself to leave. "I've seen what I need, it is ready to be released." He directed at Jared.

"Thank you, uncle, for your cooperation and time. This mech was a new product of our company. Just contact me Uncle if you are interested and I wouldn't mind making a deal with you about it." Smilingly Alexis said.

"Sure thing. Your product is really interesting, my nephew. I'll see to it you make a great deal out of it." General Levin replied. "I'll take my leave first. Anthony, please stay here and handle the rest."

"Okay, brother. Have a safe trip back." Nodded Anthony. Alexis took his leave after bidding his farewell.
