Another Drama

"Can I come in?"

A few seconds passed, but no voice answered him.

Daniel frowned a little. Could something have happened to his sister?

Without hesitation or doubt, he opened the door and stepped in. To his surprise, the room was empty.

"Alice?"

He searched the entire room but couldn't find anyone. The room was completely empty, aside from him.

"This...?"

The window was open, and when he looked outside through it, he noticed the ladder—which should normally be closed—was actually extended.

"Damn it."

He immediately pulled out his phone and called Alice.

The phone rang, but no one answered. He called several times, but still got no response.

Without delay, he summoned Vorak.

"My sister's gone. Track her down," Daniel ordered firmly, and Vorak immediately began sniffing around the room.

The trail led to the window. Vorak pointed to it, and Daniel nodded.
