The leader roared in fury, "Konoha brat, DIE!" He charged at Kai with the Sword of Thunder God in hand.

Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!

A thick wall of earth rose between them, but the Sword of Thunder God sliced through it as if it were made of paper.

"This is bad," Kai thought, his face darkening as he watched his strongest defensive technique crumble so easily.

The Earth-Style Wall was the most robust defensive jutsu he could currently use, yet it had proven utterly ineffective against the Sword of Thunder God. It was clear that pure defense would not work against such a weapon.

"Defense won't get me anywhere. If that's the case, I'll attack instead!" Kai's eyes flashed with determination. He crouched slightly before launching himself toward the leader.

"Hahaha! Have you given up? Coming to meet your death?" the leader sneered, his face twisted with malice.

As Kai closed the distance, his right hand, which had been held slightly to the side, suddenly thrust forward. In his palm, a swirling, pale blue sphere of chakra appeared—it was the Rasengan!

"What the hell is that!?"

The leader's eyes widened in shock. In his experience, there was no such thing as a jutsu that required no hand seals. But as a seasoned jonin, he quickly reacted, raising the Sword of Thunder God horizontally to block the attack.

Kai's Rasengan slammed into the leader with immense force, driving him backward and crashing him through several large trees.
