Naruto: godly career system-Chapter 113: Arrival on the Battlefield

The Nyoi-Bo in the hands of the Third Hokage struck heavily against the head of the massive rock golem. The creature's movements came to an abrupt halt, and cracks began to spread across its head. With a thunderous crash, the head shattered into countless boulders.

With one mighty blow, the rock golem was completely destroyed. Even though the Third Hokage was no longer in his prime, when he fought with all his might, he was still the legendary "Ninja Hero" who once dominated the ninja world.

"Earth Release: Rock Fist Jutsu!"

A gigantic stone fist came crashing toward the Third Hokage, but Onoki's assault showed no signs of letting up.

"Earth Release: Super-Weighted Boulder Jutsu!"

An advanced version of the Weighted Boulder Jutsu, this technique increased the weight of the rock fist by dozens of times.

Seeing the massive, dense stone fist, the Third Hokage's expression darkened. Even though the Nyoi-Bo formed by Enma was incredibly durable, he lacked the raw strength to shatter such a massive fist.

The Third Hokage had no choice but to sidestep the attack. At the same time, he struck the side of the rock fist with his staff, forcibly altering its trajectory and preventing it from smashing into the ranks of Konoha's ninja.

Boom!

The rock fist crashed into the dense forest nearby, leaving a massive crater in the battlefield that resembled a meteor impact site. The sheer weight of the rock fist, enhanced by the Super-Weighted Boulder Jutsu, was evident.

"Cloud and Stone Joint Ninja Forces, attack!"

The Fourth Raikage, seeing that Onoki and the Third Hokage were already engaged in battle, immediately ordered the joint forces of Kumogakure and Iwagakure to launch an assault on Konoha's troops. At the same time, he charged straight toward Mitarashi Shishio.

"Yo! Who's my opponent? Hey, where's that bastard Mitarashi Kai?" Killer Bee rapped as he charged into Konoha's ranks.

"Aratama Roribata!" (Wild Dance of the Seven Blades!)

Wielding seven blades across his body, each twist of his form took the life of a Konoha ninja.

Suddenly, a shadow darted swiftly across the ground, weaving its way toward Killer Bee. In an instant, it connected to his feet and began to creep up his body, wrapping around his neck.

"Shadow Neck Binding Jutsu!"

Roar! Sensing the danger, Killer Bee immediately began to transform into his Tailed Beast form. Nearby, Nara Shikaku's face turned pale, and he shouted, "Haiichi! Choza! Help me now!"

The Ino-Shika-Cho trio engaged the Tailed Beast-transformed Eight-Tails in battle. Their teamwork allowed them to hold their ground, but the fight was evenly matched.

However, Konoha's high-level combat forces were limited, each locked in battles with their respective opponents. Meanwhile, Kumogakure and Iwagakure had far more elite fighters. Figures like the Tsuchikage's aide, Iwamon, and the Raikage's personal guard faced no resistance, slaughtering Konoha's forces at an alarming rate.

Watching the battlefield, the Third Hokage's heart filled with anxiety. The Konoha ninja were falling too quickly. At this rate, they wouldn't last a day, let alone endure a prolonged battle against the allied Cloud and Stone forces.

A flash of regret crossed the Third Hokage's eyes. Memories of Hatake Sakumo and others flickered in his mind. If not for his own complacency, how could Konoha have fallen to such a state? Regret, pain, and confusion tormented his heart.

On the outskirts of the battlefield, Kurenai Yuhi was locked in combat with an Iwagakure ninja.

At sixteen or seventeen years old, Kurenai was in the prime of her youth. Yet on the battlefield, her once graceful appearance was marred by dust and grime. Her arms and legs bore numerous wounds, a testament to the intensity of the fight.

"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!"

Caught off guard, Kurenai found herself trapped in the swamp-like terrain.

"A Konoha kunoichi, and such a pretty one at that. What a shame you'll die here!" the Iwagakure ninja sneered, forming hand seals.

"Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"

A yellowish earthen dragon materialized, lunging toward Kurenai with its jaws wide open.

"Goodbye, Kai..." Kurenai murmured, her hands and feet bound by the swamp, unable to form seals for a substitution jutsu. As the dragon closed in, she shut her eyes, despair etched across her face.

Moments passed, yet she was still alive. Confused, Kurenai's heart raced. Suddenly, a familiar voice reached her ears.

"Kurenai, you've grown even more beautiful over the years."

"Kai's voice? Is this an illusion?" Kurenai whispered, keeping her eyes shut. She feared opening them, only to find the earth dragon still bearing down on her.

Kai chuckled softly, a hint of helplessness in his tone. His Tenseigan flared to life, and with a wave of gravitational force, Kurenai was gently lifted out of the swamp. Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw Kai standing before her. Her initial surprise gave way to joy as she threw herself into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

Kai patted her back, offering comfort. Then, his gaze shifted to the Iwagakure ninja who had attacked her. His voice turned cold. "You made Kurenai cry."

The Iwagakure ninja froze in terror at Kai's sudden appearance. The name "Death God of Konoha" echoed throughout the ninja world, and no one could face him without fear. Desperately, the ninja stammered, "It wasn't me! It wasn't me!" He turned to flee.

Kai found the scene amusing. The earthen dragon was still fresh in his memory, yet the ninja had the audacity to deny it. "If you want to run, I'll send you on your way."

Kai raised his right hand, and an invisible force surged toward the fleeing ninja.

"Tenseigan: Repulsion—Shinra Palm!"

The powerful repulsion struck the Iwagakure ninja like a cannonball, sending him hurtling through the forest. Trees shattered in his wake, and the chances of his survival were slim to none.

Kurenai, though a Chunin, quickly composed herself and said, "Kai, the battle is urgent. You should go support Uncle Shishio and Lord Third Hokage."

"Understood," Kai replied. He wasn't worried about Kurenai's safety. His Kagura Shingan was fully active, allowing him to monitor the battlefield and reach any corner in an instant.

At the center of the battlefield, Mitarashi Shishio and the Fourth Raikage were locked in an intense duel.

"Where is Mitarashi Kai?! Bring him out now!" the Fourth Raikage roared, his face a mask of fury as he glared at Shishio.

"Wind Release: Great Vacuum Sphere!"

As the head of the Anbu, Shishio had no intention of engaging in idle chatter during battle. Forming hand seals, he unleashed the Great Vacuum Sphere, sending it hurtling toward the Raikage.

"Damn it!" the Fourth Raikage cursed.

"Lightning Release: Lightning Decapitation!"

Concentrating lightning chakra into his right hand, the Raikage slashed through the incoming Great Vacuum Sphere, dispersing it into a chaotic whirlwind.

"Lightning Release: Heavy Stream Burst!"

The Raikage charged at Shishio with incredible speed. Shishio narrowly dodged, knowing full well that he wasn't a match for the Raikage in close combat.

"Uncle Shishio, leave him to me," a familiar voice called out.

"Kai!" Shishio exclaimed in relief.
