Naruto: godly career system-Chapter 119: Heavenly Sovereign’s Realm – Magma

No matter how tumultuous the storm he might have stirred in the shinobi world, Kai's attention was entirely elsewhere at the moment.

Currently, Kai was standing within the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm – Magma, a space that seemed to defy all natural laws.

To Kai, the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm was the pinnacle of all ninjutsu. Of course, this assessment excluded the Infinite Tsukuyomi. After all, once the Infinite Tsukuyomi was activated, the entire world would fall silent, leaving only the user behind. What was the point of fighting when there was no one left to oppose you? Thus, the Infinite Tsukuyomi could not be considered a combat technique but rather an apocalyptic one.

The terror of the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm lay in its ability to instantly transport everyone within the caster's vicinity into a self-contained dimension created by the technique, completely isolating them from the outside world.

Hovering in the center of the magma-filled space using repulsive force, Kai activated his Kagura Mind's Eye. However, he could only sense the confines of the magma dimension itself.

"Hmm? Just as I thought," Kai muttered to himself. "The Heavenly Sovereign's Realm is a standalone dimension, entirely severed from the external world. Its spatial barriers are incredibly stable—ordinary space-time ninjutsu and summoning techniques can't escape from this place."

There were only two ways to leave the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm:

Possess dual Mangekyō Sharingan and activate a fully realized Susano'o. Only then could one use Kamui to perform a space-time transfer and escape. After all, Kamui inherently carried its own spatial dimension.

Be summoned by someone else through an extraordinary amount of chakra. In the original series, it was the reincarnated Hokage, summoned by the Sage of Six Paths, who used a summoning technique to pull Naruto out of the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm.

These two conditions were so demanding that, barring plot necessities, they were essentially impossible to meet. Therefore, with control over the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm – Magma, Kai could effortlessly claim victory against any opponent he dragged into this dimension.

Moreover, the system had awarded Kai the fully mastered version of the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm – Magma.

This meant that the entire magma dimension was under Kai's absolute control. He could even momentarily breach the spatial barrier of the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm – Magma to let magma flow into another world!

With a single thought, Kai disappeared from the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm – Magma and reappeared in the Mitarashi household in Konoha.

Although Kai didn't fully understand where the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm – Magma existed due to his still-limited grasp of space-time principles, he could sense a mysterious connection between his consciousness and that dimension. He knew that this connection allowed him to enter the realm with just a thought.

"Pairing the Heavenly Sovereign's Realm – Magma with Lava Release... I wonder how much stronger I've become. Is there anyone left in the shinobi world who can match me now?" Kai mused, a hint of self-satisfaction creeping into his thoughts.

"Brother! Where have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere! Come on, let's go get some dango! Even Kimimaro can't wait anymore!" Anko Mitarashi, with her short ponytail bouncing, suddenly barged into Kai's room, urging him excitedly.

Hearing her words, Kai's lips twitched slightly, his face filled with helplessness. "Anko," he sighed, "if you're going to make up excuses, at least try harder. Saying it's Kimimaro is a bit more believable."

Anko's face flushed red as she hastily corrected herself. "Fine, I meant Haku! Haku wants some too!"

Kai let out a long sigh, clearly exasperated by Anko's antics. Standing up, he said, "Alright, let's go get some dango."

Stepping out of the house, Kai, Anko, and their group of four decided to invite Kurenai Yuhi to join them.

The moment Kurenai laid eyes on Haku, her gaze turned wary, as if she were facing a formidable rival. Her cheeks flushed slightly as she stepped forward, clinging to Kai's arm and murmuring sweetly, "Kai, where are we going?"

After speaking, she shot Haku a challenging look, as though declaring her claim over Kai.

Haku merely smiled faintly, saying nothing. Kurenai, however, felt frustrated, as though she had just punched a pillow.

Anko, her face brimming with mischief, nudged Kurenai with her elbow and smirked. "Kurenai, if you treat me to some dango, I'll tell you a little secret about Haku."

Standing to the side, Kai finally understood why Kurenai was acting out of character today. She must have mistaken Haku for a romantic rival.

It was understandable. Over the past three years, Haku had grown increasingly delicate and beautiful, his appearance rivaling even Kurenai's. What intrigued Kai the most was whether Kimimaro, who shared a room with Haku, had been "influenced" by Haku's charm. However, Kai wasn't bold enough to ask such a question.

"Anko!" Kai called out, scolding her lightly before turning to Kurenai. "By the way, Kurenai, I haven't introduced them yet. This is Haku and Kimimaro, my companions."

After a brief pause, Kai added with a teasing smile, "And, by the way, Haku is a boy."

"What?!"

Kurenai froze in shock, her face turning red as she quickly released Kai's arm. Turning to Haku, she stammered, "I'm so sorry, Haku. I thought you were a girl..."

Haku smiled gently and replied, "It's alright, Kurenai. I've heard a lot about you from Lord Kai. You're just as beautiful as he described."

Hearing Haku's words, Kurenai blushed even more, glaring at Anko in embarrassment.

At the dango shop, Anko devoured her dango with such enthusiasm that it made the food look irresistibly delicious. Even Kimimaro, who rarely ate outside of his three daily meals, couldn't resist having two skewers.

After a while, as they continued eating, Kurenai suddenly asked, "Kai, now that you're back, will you be leaving again?"

Seeing the hopeful look in Kurenai's eyes, Kai's heart softened. He realized that ever since graduating from the ninja academy, he hadn't spent much time in the village with Kurenai. Gently, he replied, "I won't be leaving."

However, as soon as the words left his mouth, an image of Tsunade flashed in his mind, prompting him to add, "At least not anytime soon."

For Kurenai, this was already enough. She smiled contentedly.

As night fell, the day came to an end.

Kai and his group of five had practically eaten their way through Konoha, and Kai discovered for the first time that the village had quite a few culinary delights.

Suddenly, an ANBU ninja appeared in front of Kai. "Lord Mitarashi Kai, the Third Hokage has summoned you."

"Understood," Kai nodded, and the ANBU ninja disappeared.

Turning to his companions, Kai said, "Anko, you and Kurenai head home first. I'll take Haku and Kimimaro to see the Third Hokage."

"Alright."

With that, Anko and Kurenai departed, while Kai led Haku and Kimimaro toward the Hokage's office.
