Which King is your favourite?

....

The last couple of days, Taesoo Ma had been working hard. Fighting was fun for him—but business? That was something he found downright dreadful.Still, he knew how important it was for a proper organization to function.

He had instructed his crew members to follow the plan Apollo had provided, sending some of his best men to every school in the district.

Private schools were still out of reach—for now. But if his influence continued to grow, even they would soon fall within his grasp.

Speaking of Apollo, the black-eyed enigma had disappeared after leaving with Gapryong Kim.Taesoo wouldn't lie—he was jealous. But he believed in himself. When the time came, no one would be stronger than his right fist.

"Sir, we've implemented the plan in seven schools. The earnings should start coming in by the end of the month," his right-hand man reported.

Taesoo simply nodded.

Looking up at the sky, a vein pulsed on his forehead. He had a sneaking suspicion: Apollo was off training somewhere.

The last fight had made it clear how talented his rival was.'It's time. I'll head to the jungle soon,' he thought.

Meanwhile…

Apollo crouched low, dodging yet another projectile, his body running on pure instinct.

Looking back at his teacher, Hansu Seong—who had a large, comical tick mark throbbing on his forehead—Apollo sighed in despair.

Hansu juggled rocks in his hands, kicking each one with pinpoint accuracy straight at Apollo. The moment Apollo dodged, another rock followed. The more he avoided, the faster they came.

'I get it, you're mad—but isn't this overkill?!' Apollo thought, his eyes tracking another incoming rock at blinding speed.

Seeing no room to dodge, he shifted posture.

'Belief.'

He exhaled sharply, tightening his abs.The rock hit—hard—but only left a skid mark on his skin.

Apollo smirked. He was getting better at defense.

"You think smirking will save you, brat?!" Hansu shouted, righteous fury sparkling in his eyes. He launched five rocks into the air and kicked them mid-fall with lightning speed.

He still held back, of course. But Apollo didn't need to know that.

Sweat-dropping, Apollo shouted, "Okay, I get it! I shouldn't have used your skills in a street fight—but come on, I might actually die at this rate!"

Hansu disappeared and reappeared in front of Apollo in a flash."Not only did you use my skills on that 'king,' you even asked for a new master. Did you think I wouldn't notice just because you were mumbling?!"

From the side, Taehun snickered, making Apollo's eyebrow twitch.'First Jake, now Taehun... I fucking hate little kids.'

Apollo had to leave training for two days and, in a rare moment of honesty, he'd told Hansu the truth. Now, he was regretting that choice.'Lying would've been so much better.'

While Apollo pondered his poor decisions, Hansu's expression softened.Placing a hand on Apollo's head, he said, "Kid, I taught you these skills not to incite violence. Taekwondo isn't meant for that... And more importantly, you met him."

His face turned serious.

"I don't know much, but I've heard whispers—rumors among the higher-ups. Information about him is classified, even to us. Trust me… People like him are dangerous."

Apollo nodded. He understood Hansu's concern. From an adult's perspective, it all made sense. But Apollo had his own beliefs.

Matching his master's gaze, he said, "I understand, Master. But... this is important to me. These titles—these 'kings'—they might sound childish now, but I believe they'll matter in the future."

Hansu still looked uncertain.

So Apollo continued—not to seek approval, but to show conviction.

"The man I fought... I believe that in a month or two, he'll break the wall."

Hansu's eyes widened.

Few in the military even understood what "the wall" was. Most fighters spent their whole lives without even realizing it existed.

But Hansu knew.At the highest level, every martial artist hit a wall—a metaphysical boundary. If they gave up, they'd never grow. But if they pushed forward, they'd evolve into monsters.

Only a handful had crossed it. Kim and Jincheol were among them.

Just the fact that Apollo knew about the wall was shocking. This was the first time Hansu truly realized how different Apollo was—the way he carried himself, his raw talent, the ambition gleaming in his eyes.

"You're saying a teenager will break a wall that even veterans struggle with?" Hansu asked, still in disbelief.

Apollo laughed."Talent grows where talent gathers, Master."...he thought,'That's why so many people around the protagonist always end up monsters.'

He lifted his hand with his signature confidence."How about this—in two months, I'll reach the wall myself. Consider this a bet."

Hansu stared at him for a long moment, then slowly shook his hand."Alright then… but be ready for the hell I'm about to put you through."

Apollo grinned. "With pleasure."

Ring.

Apollo's phone buzzed.

"One sec, Master," he said, picking up his beat-up phone and answering the call.

A familiar voice spoke on the other end.

"I've completed my task, Apollo."

A smirk tugged at Apollo's lips."I believe Seoul is yours now... Jichang Kwak."

He looked up at the sky, his eyes gleaming with quiet fire.

No matter who stood in his way—this time, he'd reach the top.
