Chapter 6: Teleporting Young Rascal. PT. 2: Yuumo

The group was already out of the house, running to see where Endo had gone. Hikaru paced himself quickly, stopping in the middle of the street as the others caught up. "So, we've got a crazy boxer, a speedy athlete, a reincarnated king, and a talking cat, but now we have an aged-up young boy on the loose, probably planning to kill us all by the end of the day." Ryuji sighed, hands in his pockets, while Ren looked around and then casually pointed at Shoto. "You're some sort of reincarnated king?"

Hikaru smacked Ren's hand. "Not important." Ryuji covered his mouth, and Neko jumped onto the boxer's shoulder, covering his mouth as well despite being a cat. "So you two ARE long-lost lovers..."

Hikaru's face turned red with anger. "HE'S DATING YOUR SISTER, DUMBASS." Ryuji laughed, and Hikaru started yelling at him. Ren watched the two closely, but Shoto had figured out where Endo was. Right in front of them at a convenience store, Endo was talking to the store clerk, who blushed at his comments. Shoto started to walk away from the group, approaching Endo, ready to touch him.

"Shoto, please tell this idiot we're not long-lost lov—" Hikaru turned towards Shoto and saw him creeping up on Endo. "SHOTO!" he yelled.

Shoto flinched, and Endo heard Hikaru's shout. He winked at the store clerk and teleported away, disappearing from their sight. Shoto turned back to Hikaru, disappointed. "Why can't anything be normal in my life?"

Meanwhile, a messy-haired boy dressed in a Vash the Stampede cosplay was playing a Hoyoverse game on his computer, preparing to use his remaining primogems for a Genshin summon. "Come on... come on..." Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, causing him to accidentally click the X and close the application. "GAAAAAAH COME ON!" He rushed out of his room to the front door. "Do you know how long I waited for the game to updat—" Endo was leaning on the door, looking straight at the gamer boy with a bouquet of flowers. "Hello, Yuumo." Yuumo didn't respond, but a woman who appeared to be his older sister gasped in joy at the sight of Endo's flowers. "Hi, Endo."

Three hours later, Shoto was perfectly fine, but Hikaru had feathers in his hair, Ren was soaking wet, and Ryuji's hair was puffy and smoking. Neko was fine, hanging on Shoto's back as the group walked down the road under the bright sun.

"We have two hours left before sunset, and all we've been doing is getting our asses whooped by his little warping toys," Hikaru grumbled.

Neko glared at Hikaru. "Maybe if you didn't yell about your ex-boyfriend to his future brother-in-law, none of this would've happened!" Hikaru cracked his knuckles. "I'm going to kill you," he said softly.

Shoto shook his head and sighed, looking down at the street. Ryuji blinked a few times, looking forward. "For what it's worth, at least I got a nice hairdo." The others stared at Ryuji's hair and then back at the boxer, continuing to walk.

Shoto looked ahead and saw Endo walking out of a house. He stopped and nervously pointed. "He's... he's right there..." Hikaru, Ryuji, and Ren's eyes widened as they looked straight ahead.

"YOU!" Ren approached Endo but stopped a few feet away, just in case he teleported. "I am covered in fish water because of you." Yuumo and the woman quietly walked out of the house.

"Endo? Do you know this person?" the woman asked. Endo scoffed and looked back at her and Yuumo with a sly look. "Oh, Ukari, I've never seen them in my lif—"

Ren interrupted. "IF HIKARU JUST SHUT UP FOR FIVE SECONDS THE FIRST TIME, NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED. BUT NOOOO, HERE WE ARE. WE FINALLY FOUND YOU, SO LET'S GO BACK AND YOU CAN RETURN TO NORMAL!"

Hikaru looked at Ren, Endo, and then Yuumo. Yuumo stepped back a little and pulled Ukari back into the house. "I got it, big sis. Just close the door." She nodded slowly, closing the door.

When Endo heard the door shut, he looked at them with a serious expression, shoving his hands in his jacket pockets. "The game has reached its final round. This time, try to hit me."

Ryuji sighed, preparing to walk away. "Guys, let's just go home. I need to go say goodbye to Yumiko anywa—" Shoto didn't hear Ryuji or pay attention to any of them. His eyes were locked on Endo.

"Hikaru, how much time do we have left?"

Hikaru checked his phone. "Half an hour or two till sunset." Shoto nodded slowly, taking the cat off his back and setting him down softly. "I got this." Neko smiled brightly, pulling out a mini bow and arrow and shooting Shoto in the back like he had done since they first met. Shoto growled, his muscles tensing and his green eyes dilating to white.

Endo laughed loudly. "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN ACTUALLY HIT ME?" Shoto's eyes were fully dilated as he stared at Endo with an angry expression. "ALL I NEED IS HALF AN HOUR TO DEFEAT YOU!"

Yuumo's hands twitched in excitement. He tried to touch Endo, but Endo teleported a few feet away from the group. The gamer approached Shoto, standing behind him. "I'm going to help you. Besides, this is just a game, right?" Shoto didn't respond but seemed willing to team up with Yuumo. They ran towards Endo, trying to grab him, but he kept teleporting, not giving them any hope of winning his game.

For ten minutes, Shoto and Yuumo hopped side to side, trying to hit Endo, who kept teleporting away. Finally, Yuumo got used to Endo's teleportation patterns. Shoto and Yuumo stared down Endo. Hikaru and Ren had a different plan, slowly grabbing a rock. Shoto's rival threw it at Endo, who dodged it, but didn't see Ren zooming towards him. Endo hesitated and teleported away, only to have his back tapped softly by Ryuji, who was ready to punch him. Endo teleported again, but Yuumo grabbed his shirt. "Shi—" Before he could finish, Shoto hopped into the air and punched Endo square in the face. This caused Endo to revert back to a little kid.

Hikaru, Ryuji, and Ren screamed in victory. Shoto, panting, reverted to normal. Yuumo smiled at the group. "You guys are starting a club, right? Do you have room for me?"

Shoto smiled slightly. "Y-yeah."

"Perfect, see you guys at school." Yuumo walked back into his house. Ukari, already at the front door, commented, "Geez, why do people think Endouru is a perv? He's just trying to send his condolences for our mother." Yuumo shrugged, eager to get back to playing Genshin Impact.

Shoto didn't question it. Things had been weird since he met Neko. He looked at Endo, now a sleeping child on the grass. Shoto decided to take him in, as Endo had nowhere to go. He picked up the kid and started to walk home, with Neko beside him. "I'll see you guys later," he said, continuing to walk. The group decided to head home too. Hikaru pondered as he walked.

"It's not an adrenaline rush... it's like he's not human... like he's a..." Hikaru shook his head. They were all kids, after all. He shouldn't worry. However, he finally decided that Hina Shinako wasn't just the student body president. Her nickname wasn't the Red-Haired Goddess; she was the Red-Haired Demon.
