17. My Responsibility.

Mather and Sara was confused when they saw everyone eyes on them. What happened now

" Are you the ones that told him about the wedding." Lord Eric asked

Martha and Sara smelled trouble they looked at their princess who shook her head telling them to lie

" That won't work if they lie they'll be killed for lying to a royal not just any one the king's brother." Dylan said and kathy stared at him in disbelief.

Martha and Sara was about to reply when the crazy woman brust in 

" Where are you sick humans ilI' kill you for making fun of me." She screaming but stop when she discovered the quiet atmosphere

" Uma, what's wrong? " Zach asked

" Huh? Oh nothing is wrong." Uma said but she glance death glares at Martha and Sara 

" Do you know them?" Lord Eric asked

Kathy looked at him angrily, he looked eager to turn the tone of conversation around

" Um I saw them a while earlier." She said

" Jamie are they the ones who told you about the wedding ?" Zach asked this time

" Does that really matter, they don't even know me." Jamie said feeling irritated

" But still it was a royal order. Did they break it?." Gerald one of the cousins said

" That doesn't make any sense." Jamie said

" The king's order doesn't make any sense." Another cousin Karl said

" You know what I mean." Jamie said

" That's enough. Did you tell him of the wedding? This time the king asked the two ladies

They both looked at each other not knowing what to say

" Um... Yes." Sara said instead. Kathy looked at the king expectantly wondering what he would say

" You don't run your mouth like that especially not in Althreaze." The king said

" Forgive me my king but it was out of ignorance." Martha said and dropped to her knees with Sara

" You will face punishment for having a big mouth." Lord Eric said

" Please give us a second chance my Lord I beg you." Martha pleaded with tears and Kathy clenched her hands tightly

" They had always been like that your majesty they deserve to be thought a lesson so they'd never do it again." Queen Emily said. Kathy sharply looked at her with pure hatred

" Please have mercy." Sara pleaded while Martha glared at the queen

" Their only crime was telling the man about the wedding they just got here only today, how could they have known!" Kathy shouted forgetting herself

" How dare you raise your voice here you weakling." A woman who looked to be in her mid thirties said

" So it's settled then they deserve punishment." Lord Eric said

" I am responsible for them my Lord I'll take the punishment." Kathy said

" You will?, Do you know the punishment?" Lord Eric asked amused

" Humans." A woman scoffed

" I'll take responsibility." Kathy maintained

" My princess no . Please my lord we had comitted the crime of telling him about the wedding let us pay for our crime instead." Martha pleaded

" This doesn't make any sense." William finally spoke up he dad been holding it in for a while now

" It's would soon be Dawn now , do we really have time for this." Zach muttered

" How dare you speak! " Lord Eric barked at him

" I dare to speak my Lord, I know you people knows nothing of farness and all but still be reasonable." William said

" Uncle are you drunk?" Kathy suddenly asked she rushed over to him and touched his cheeks. Then she turned smiling

" Please forgive my uncle I think he is drunk, very drunk. IlI take his punishment as well ." Kathy said and Dylan smirked . She saw him smirked and blinked she didn't know he could smile. She pleaded with him with her eyes trying to send him a message to get them out of the situation. But he gave her an ' you're on your own' look.

" Oh I see you like taking people's punishment very well then." Lord Eric said

" But it still her wedding day." King Philip said

" That doesn't excused her she should think before she talks." Lord Eric said

" Sometimes I wonder which of us is king Eric." Philip said and Eric bit his lips

" I didn't mean it like that...."

" Forget it it's your son's wedding after all." Philip said

" As punishment since it's your wedding day as the king said you will go into the forest of yelgra and back before the sun rises, or let's just say you just have to get back." Lord Eric said

" Wedding my foot." Jamie said when Lord Eric sharply looked at him and he looked away

" Unscathed then ilI' forgive your human friends." He continued after glaring at Jamie. 

Some people smiled they seemed satosatis with the punishment most especially Emily and her daughters

" Y....yes...my .....Lord." Kathy said grateful and regretful at the same time

" Isn't it a little too harsh to send my bride to that forest?" Dylan asked looking at lord Eric straight in the eye

" What do you want to take responsibility instead?" Lord Eric asked

" No I don't really like taking responsibility." Dylan said and some people snickered. " But she's my bride and this is the longest ivI' ever stayed at a wedding to my liking . So why don't she go after my wedding night I was looking forward to it you see." Dylan said and they all stared at him shocked

" What." Zach said

" It's not fair to me that you take my bride to that forest on my wedding night let her go after my wedding night." Dylan said

" Damian." Lord Eric called a hint of warning in his voice

" Or should she go after our honeymoon, isn't she my bride? Father." Dylan said

" She is very well. Since Damian cares about his bride we'll let this one go. You are all forgiven, wrap up the wedding." The king said and left with his queen.

" Finally." Dylan said . He watched as his new father nodded his head straight him.

Kathy helped her maids up 

" What were you doing out of here." Kathy asked in a whisper.

" We were looking for you." Martha said

" Then we came across a mad woman." Sara said

" Sara!" Both Kathy and Martha said at the same time.

Kathy led them to their chairs

" I thought my heart would explode, my princess." Martha said

" Me too." Sara said

"It's okay." Kathy said patting sara

" By the way your groom saved us. That's so sweet." Sara said

" Sweet my foot didn't you hear what he said." Martha said

" Oh." Sara said and looked at Kathy blushing." Wedding night." She whispered. Kathy coughed nervously

" Are you out of your mind?" Kathy said and hit Sara on her back playfully

" He's been looking forward to it." Martha said and Kathy gluped and she search for Dylan her eyes catched his . He was looking at her. Kathy blushed 

" Are you alright you look red my princess." Sara said

" Sara!" Kathy said loudly some eyes turned to their direction

A lady walked up to them . They all looked at her

" Now ladies it all time to go on an Althreaze tradition." The lady said

" What tradition." Kathy said

" You'll see it when you see it." She simply said and left signalling Kathy to follow her

" What now." Kathy said wondering when the wedding would end
