"For the Red Samurai, or your real name, Danso Narahara! I know it is hard for you to maintain two personalities in one body, and be a vigilante! Trust me and come to me, or else I'll have to take you by force."
These words rang over and over in Danso's brain. Xeno walked through the mountains of rubble and dust and picked Danso up. Chiro, Tensei, and Emily come running down to see what has happened. An explosion out of nowhere was certainly an unprecedented event. Danso's vision was blurry, and the noises became a siren, making his head hurt and feel like his brain was a living bomb, counting down to 0. Blood started spilling from Danso's mouth as he began to gain some vision and started kicking Xeno, forcing him to drop Danso to the ground.
Without any words, the entirety of the DMMS, excluding Haruki and Natsuki, leaped towards Xeno, trying to get Danso back. Xeno punched Emily in the face and blocked an attack by Tensei by using the 1st stage sorcery to enhance his arms. Chiro attacked from above and caused a scar on Xeno's shoulder that started bleeding. Xeno instantly healed himself and kicked Chiro in the kneecap, forcing him to fall, and used this opening to punch Chiro in the face. However, Chiro, noticing this, used his Taurus Wall to block the punch and instead stabbed Xeno through the stomach.
Xeno separated himself from Chiro, and the rubble got in the way of both of them. Tensei got back up, and Emily rushed towards Danso to try healing him. While everyone was upstairs, Danso was downstairs, meaning that he took the most damage out of them all. Xeno was wearing the same suit as the time in the Port Meeting, and the red suit was covered in dust. Chiro tried using Virgo Analyst on Xeno, but it could not read him. Emily held Danso's head and looked at the main injury points. There was blood coming from his forehead, ear, and nose. She healed them all with relative ease, due to the training she got from Natsuki, and helped him stand. Xeno swiped his fingers once, and multiple cultists came rushing towards the building. Emily was shocked. These were the same cultists that she had fought outside the burning house.
Tensei transformed into the One-Horned Demon and started rushing towards the cultists. Once Tensei had disarmed or knocked out the cultists, Emily would do the final attack. These cultists were the same as the ones Emily had fought previously near the burning house. They were dead and had no sign of a complete soul. Instead, there were parts of the same soul in each of the cultists.
"Tensei!" screamed Emily.
"What?" said Tensei, panting as he beat twenty cultists.
"The madman has an ability that lets him split his soul and place it into dead bodies. The more dead people you kill, the more his soul gets eradicated. So he should get weaker," said Emily.
Tensei nodded, and Emily split up from him to attack more cultists at once. Emily kept on landing crucial blows, and Tensei kept on clawing through the cultists one by one. There were armies just coming towards them. Emily made one fly using her Playbox:- Telekinesis powers and Tensei stabbed many cultists with his claws, hooking them like a fishing rod and a fish, and threw them towards Emily. Emily dropped the cultist that was floating and made him explode, subduing the dead cultists. They both looked at each other and gave each other a nod of approval, and continued fighting.
Chiro stared at Xeno while Danso was just resting on top of the rubble and the miniature table Emily created with her Playbox ability. He was moving and wriggling in pain as he wanted to get back up and continue fighting, but his mind did not want to. Chiro noticed this and screamed.
"Danso! We will handle this here, just stay still and protect yourself for a while," said Chiro.
Danso nodded in approval, yet he was not content with himself. A fancy new ring, a fancy new sword, just to get knocked out with a single explosion? Danso could not take that. He stood up using his sword as a walking stick and eventually managed to regain some energy to fight. Danso lunged towards Xeno with his new Ruby Soul Steel Sword and attacked Xeno. Chiro just smiled and helped Danso attack Xeno. Both of them took a few steps back and stared at Xeno, whose suit was tethered and ruined.
"I truly admire your courage, Danso Narahara, getting up when someone assures you to stay down is not a simple task," said Xeno.
"We never saw you or heard of you. Who are you? Why are you here?" said Chiro, holding his sword with a tight grip.
"I am none other than the chaos unleashed into the world to balance peace and chaos. A little bit of chaos is required to change the world, don't you think? My name is Xeno," said Xeno.
Xeno glared into Dan's eyes and lifted a finger. Chiro's hands exploded, and Xeno somehow used telepathy to throw Chiro to the wall far away from them. Chiro crashed with a painful thud to the ground. Xeno started to walk closer and closer towards Danso, his eyes never leaving Xeno. Danso showed Xeno his ring and said the words, 'Soul Slimes, return to me.' Danso summoned multiple soul slimes, which helped in the fight with the cultists. He also summoned Karkous, who was still inhabiting the Arch-Angel. Danso was relieved. He could figure out more about Karkous and the host body later, but for now, at least he could use Karkous to his advantage. Tensei screamed as he saw Chiro get thrown to the rubble. Tensei clawed and attacked the hordes of cultists, and Danso's soul slimes also helped in creating a pathway for Emily to run and attempt to heal him. Tensei used his claws and dug through the rubble, while Emily watched his back using her ability to protect Tensei. He clawed through the rocks and soil.
He dug.
And he dug.
Tears came down Tensei's face as Emily was screaming at him, alerting him to fight and telling him this place was no place to grieve. Then…
Meanwhile, Danso commanded Karkous to go attack Xeno, while Danso would use him as a distraction and land a fatal surprise attack. Karkous launched multiple blasts towards Xeno, who attacked him, but he healed in a second, which meant the attacks were worthless. Xeno retaliated by exploding Karkous's stomach with a swipe of his finger again, but this meant one thing. Xeno was preoccupied with Karkous. Danso ran towards Xeno and lit his flames on the blade, he crushed the ruby engulfing the flames of the blade into a brighter, crimson flame that was a sight to behold. Red and black sparks were dispersing from the blade, and the heat could be felt from miles beyond. Danso attacked him with the final blast while Karkous also healed. If this attack doesn't work, then Karkous uses his charged-out Soul Blast on the head of Xeno to instantly wipe out his brain, which makes him lose connection to his body and die. Danso knew that as long as Xeno was alive or his brain was intact, he could heal as a reflex, which was a guess, but that was not a mere thought on a cloud.
Xeno grabbed Danso's blade, which caused his hand to burn and explode. Karkous, using this opening, unleashed a soul blast straight to the face, which destroyed Xeno. The Red Suit was completely eradicated, and it was certain that Xeno died. His head was gone, his right hand was gone, there was a massive hole in his stomach, and Emily and Tensei destroyed a lot of cultists, which should remove parts of his soul, making him weaker. So was that it? Danso saw the body fall to the floor, covering the floor in red. Blood flowed in a crimson state, and Danso merely watched it. Rain started to pour, and it drenched the suit and body. Danso and Karkous were not drenched since there were parts of the roof that were still intact. The cultists were mostly gone and disappeared, and Danso commanded all the soul slimes to return to their respective cubes. Danso put his hand on the Greenish-black slime Arch-Angel.
"Karkous, do you think that you can have this body forever? I want your opinion," said Danso.
"I think so, sir, the one with Shadow Companion doesn't summon a shadow and just makes it disperse. He makes a companion and stores it, so it has a physical body, so I believe that this body is truly my new body until you say it is not," said Karkous.
"Well worded, thanks for your hard work, return to your cube, please," requested Danso as Karkous nodded and disappeared.
Danso walked towards Tensei as he was grieving and wanted to console him. Emily just stood there next to Tensei quietly. Chiro's body was found under the rubble, and it seemed lifeless. The death hit Tensei the hardest, as Chiro was like a second father or the only family he ever had in his life. Emily took her phone out of her pocket. The screen was a little cracked due to the fight earlier, and she rang Natsuki and Haruki. They were not in the building as Natsuki wanted more materials and experts to deal with Haruki. Natsuki did not pick up. They called again. It was the same issue.
"What is going on?" muttered Emily.
"I hope Haruki and Natsuki are safe, and about Chiro, it is unfortunate this happened, but we cannot do anything about it; we need to figure out why this happened," said Danso.
Tensei wiped off his tears.
"Chiro came back from the Security Conference and made two calamities angry there. You think that's the issue?" asked Tensei.
"Xeno is not related to the Security Conference," said Danso.
"How do you know?" asked Emily.
"It is obvious such a chaotic mind would not fit the requirements of a calamity's pet. He works for himself and that's it," said Danso.
Danso picked up Chiro's limp body and walked outside. Multiple police officers and fire ambulance members came in time, and they all took Chiro's body. They placed the body into the red and blue ambulance with blaring alarms. Times for Akuza and Lukia will be much more difficult. Chiro is a calamity, and his demise could jeopardise the country.
"Emily and Tensei, we have no time, go to Haruki and Natsuki in the City Central Hospital, their safety is also important," said Danso.
Tensei and Emily nodded in approval and departed, with Emily flying and Tensei jumping across long distances.
A cackle was heard behind Danso's back.
Danso looked back and could not believe what he had just seen.
