"Die already,"
"Pathetic useless brat,"
"What is wrong with you?"
Many more faces appeared in the empty and dark void that was Danso's brain. The faces were blurred out in a creepy way. His consciousness awoke and he quickly used his hand to dust off the faces and make them disappear. He looked around his surroundings. It was nothing, yet there was everything here. It was pitch black yet Danso could feel the mist of an object, a silhouette.
It was a weird feeling that kept Danso on the edge at all times. Then a bright yellowish orange light started beating like a heart growing in size the more it beat. Danso went closer towards the light.
It sizzled and the light was too bright for Danso's eyes, he quickly covered them with his elbow and reached out using his left hand. It burnt the tip of his nails and Danso reflexively went a few steps back.
"Where am I? This does not look like Earth," said Danso.
"That's because it isn't," said a voice.
Danso turned back in wonder as he heard the voice. He looked around and stared at the bright light.
"No way…It's you who is speaking?" asked Danso.
The bright light turned into a human with yellow hair and yellow eyes and a chakra on top of his head. He also had white clothes on that made him look like a man with royal blood. Danso only knew one person that fit the description.
"God of Sages?" asked Danso in puzzlement.
"You really are smart," said the God of Sages.
As the God of Sages turned to look at Danso, he could feel the gaze of a god. Danso's insides seemed to crumble as his legs and limb felt they were about to explode in any second. His soul energy well started to dry up as Danso coughed up blood. He blinked repeatedly to counter the pain and hold his sanity.
Soon the pain stopped and he stood back up. As he stood he fell down to the hard black surface. The God of Sages walked towards Danso and he reached his arm out. Danso grabbed the arm and used it to get up.
"Thank you," said Danso.
"I apologize that it was necessary for me to be able to talk to you," said the God of Sages.
"It really hurt," said Danso.
"Yes but it was required. I cannot do much in the fourth dimension since I am currently somewhere very far away right now," said the God of Sages.
"Why did you bring me here?" asked Danso.
"I saved your life. You were going to be deposited in the Barren Wastelands of Laxasis, if I allowed that then you would have died before your consciousness awoke," said the God of Sages.
The Barren Wastelands is a terrain to the west of Laxasis. It is a place that is the aftermath of the conflict between Dwarves from the Dwarian Mountains and the Fishmen from the Holy Springs. Due to the attacks and war the soul energy density in that place is very high making it very hostile. Animals mutated and adapted to fit the hostile environment as the soil is infertile and the place is not suited for living.
The Frozen Everglades on the other hand was a land covered by the Astral Aurora. Due to the Astral Aurora covering the Snow Kingdom and the Frozen Everglades the temperature dropped there and it snows heavily during winter while it snows lightly during the spring while it rains during the summer. Fall does not exist in the Land Blessed By Aurora. It normally should not snow due to the country and the Frozen Everglades being towards the south of the continent but it does.
"That means I am to the very south of the continent? That is a long way from Lukia," said Danso.
"Yes it is but this outcome is better than leaving you in the Barren Wastelands," said the God of Sages.
"Would it not be better for you to teleport me to Indus or the Starry Kingdom, or Lukia directly?" asked Danso.
"If death is your wish I could do that," said the God of Sages.
Danso paused and thought for a minute. The Starry Kingdom is very hostile to people who enter without permission so is every kingdom, Indus is ruled by Siddarth Ramakrishna now and he is hostile towards the DMMS because of Chiro therefore it would be a horrible idea to go to his home turf. Ninjaro is a definite no since Lukia is at war with them.
"Thank you for keeping me alive," said Danso.
"Normally when people see a God they kneel and start praying, you interest me," said the God of Sages.
"Gods, Humans, Dwarves, Fishmen, they're all the same. You helped me because you needed me, what should I do for you?" asked Danso.
"You are very smart…But I need nothing from you right now, I will ask for your help when it is required," said the God of Sages.
"I will help you when the time comes," said Danso.
Meanwhile Nicole glared at the scene with blood. She rushed to the abandoned security room, since everyone ran away from the Black Market due to the incident that had occured. She carefully knocked out a guard that did not flee by pressing his pressure points and knocked another guard out with the hilt of her mace hitting the back of the head of the guard.
She looked at the security room after carefully opening the knob of the door, twisting the shiny silver object anti-clockwise, while walking without making any noise.
She looked around the dark room filled with wires and computers and she turned on the central computer with a click of a button.
[Enter the Password]
Nicole could not hack the password and force her way in since it might set off some alarms. Therefore she started to search around the room looking for any paper slips with the passwords or notes. Eventually she could not find anything therefore she went to the tall bookshelf filled with footage disks and started looking for the date and time of the incident so she could understand what happened.
"The Security probably did not remove the footage therefore it will be quite troublesome to get the full picture unless…"
Nicole quickly opened her phone and started dialing a number. The phone rang and a man picked up from the other side.
"Nicole? It's been a long time hasn't it?" asked the man.
"Kevin I need you to teleport me and this P.C along with three footage hard drives to the Battle Restaurant," said Nicole.
"Alright give me your location," said Kevin.
After deeply explaining her location, Kevin started to spin his right hand in a circular motion while concentrating by keeping his index and middle finger on the left side of his head.
Soon a green portal appeared and Nicole stepped through it. As she walked inside she looked at the newly renovated Battle Restaurant. The lights were fancy and the wooden tables were cleaned and looked dazzling. The floor was a mixture of black and white tiles. The walls had beautiful green colors and pictures of their food hung up on the walls.
"I am back," said Nicole.
The sudden entrance to the counter with many items startled customers who were ordering so in order to keep them, she quickly left the scene and took her gadgets to the employee's room.
After thirty minutes, they closed the shop for dinner break and Sasha walked towards Nicole.
"It has been a while hasn't it?" asked Sasha.
"Yes it has," replied Nicole firmly, shaking Sasha's hand.
"For the amount of work I did when you were gone I deserve a promotion," said Sasha jokingly.
Nicole laughed. "You will get one after the city is rebuilt don't worry I will also hire a lot more people,"
"Now why did you suddenly come?" asked Kevin.
Nicole glanced at Kevin and smiled.
"You don't want me here?" asked Nicole.
"No I didn't mean it like that," said Kevin with his hands up.
Nicole patted Kevin's shoulder and sat on a chair. Before she tried to get into work she wanted to understand what had happened to Akuza. Therefore she asked them and they explained the events of the Ninjaro Raid. After Sasha and Kevin were done explaining, they both asked Nicole a question.
"Where were you this whole time?" asked Sasha.
"I was in Indus for work that Chiro Zanami sent me to do," said Nicole.
