Guilds

"Haaa... haaa. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse," he breathed heavily as he looked around—same as the first boy he appeared beside. He was in a dorm, but this time, he was no longer just a soul.

He squeezed his pale hand into a fist. He was truly back—alive in the flesh.

Ryo stood up out of the bed and walked to the mirror beside a wardrobe.

What he saw in the mirror was a boy around sixteen years old—platinum silver hair down to his shoulders, pale skin, and the strangest feature of all: heterochromia eyes. One was icy blue, the other crimson red. His build was a bit short and frail, but overall, his unique features alone put him above his past life's appearance.

He shook his head. I have more important things to focus on than how I look.

Ryo would not forget—he may have written this story, but he never wanted to be here. Even if it was fucking amazing that this was happening to him.

He heard a noise from his wrist. Pulling up the black sleeve of his shirt, he saw a futuristic watch strapped to his wrist.

The academy's watch. So I'm here already... This should be the start of the plot when it comes to my novel called [Twin Stars: Destruction of Order].

He tapped the watch's screen, clicked on the notification, and a hologram appeared.

> [Welcome Ryo Dameno to the Sage Academy. We hope you have a meaningful stay here for the next four years. You are in Class D of the first years. Make your way to class by 9:30 AM – First Year Class D Professor.]

Class D. There are a few interesting folks there, but most of the important people sit in Class B and A. Regardless, classes aren't sorted by talent—but the fact that both protagonists are in Class A is troublesome.

Ryo sighed and opened up his wardrobe, pulling out a blazer, pants, and a purple tie.

Each class had a different colour tie:

Class D – Purple

Class C – Blue

Class B – Red

Class A – Black

He got dressed into his uniform after washing up, then headed out of his dorm. As Ryo stepped into the corridor, he saw it was packed—students moving towards their assigned classes. He couldn't help but smile. His hand trembled slightly as he fidgeted with his tie. He couldn't deny it… he was excited. It felt like he was starting life again.

Ryo followed the crowd of students wearing the same tie as him. He had no clue where he was going—everyone else had already gotten a tour of the academy, and he had just arrived. Literally.

Lost in thought, he bumped into someone.

Ryo sighed deeply. "Not again…"

As the person he bumped into turned around, Ryo couldn't help but curse himself.

Why can't I stop daydreaming, motherfuck…!

His thoughts became a blur as the person's presence settled on him. The boy, much taller than Ryo, had slicked-back black hair, brown eyes, slightly tanned skin, and a sharp face. He wore the same purple tie as Class D.

He looked down at Ryo with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes? Do you need anything?"

The boy spoke with a calm and steady voice. Ryo's head lowered slightly, staring at the floor. Not that he was scared or anything… totally. It was just that, even though they were both First-Stage Sages, this guy's talent was leagues above his. He didn't need to check his status screen to confirm that. The sheer terror and pressure he felt went beyond anything he'd ever experienced on Earth.

Out of everyone I could have met… why an antagonist, out of all of them?

It was like an eagle approaching a pigeon. The pigeon might've never seen an eagle before, yet its instincts screamed at it—this creature is not like them. It's a superior existence. A threat they are destined to be killed and eaten by.

"I... don't—"

He tried to raise his head. He wanted to look him in the eyes, but it was useless.

The boy stared for a moment longer before controlling his presence.

"Good. The talentless are flaws of the world. You have no right to ask me of anything."

With that, he walked off, not looking back once. Ryo let out a breath of relief as the pulse in his head faded and the tension in his jaw slowly relaxed.

The few students who witnessed the encounter looked annoyed—they had wanted to see the son of the Number One Guildmaster fight.

Ryo shook his head and continued walking to class, ignoring the stares of those who had watched.

There are four guilds. Lucas Reignheart is the son of the Guildmaster of the Union Guild—the most powerful guild when it comes to resources and firepower. Lucas is a villain. No doubts about it. A threat that managed to survive and trouble the protagonists and their allies again and again.

Click.

Ryo opened the classroom door, stepping into a new dawn in his now unpredictable life... and he was looking forward to it as much as he was dreading it.
