Yeonjun nodded, then added with a hint of weight in his voice, "Also… the CFO is arriving today. He just landed from abroad. He'll be attending the shareholders meeting this afternoon."
Taehyung didn't respond immediately.
Yeonjun continued, more cautiously now, "And… he's one of your relative."
Taehyung adjusted the collar of his coat, his expression unreadable as he glanced at the clock.
"It's time," he said, slipping the coat on with practiced ease. "Let's go."
Yeonjun gave a firm nod and followed as they left the office and made their way to the boardroom.
As Taehyung entered the shareholders' meeting, everyone stood up in respect. They only sat down once he had taken his seat at the head of the table.
"Let's begin the meeting," Taehyung said, voice low and authoritative.
Just as the first agenda point was being announced, a sharp knock echoed through the room.
All heads turned.
Taehyung's gaze lifted toward the door and froze for a beat.
The door opened, and in walked a tall man dressed in an impeccable dark suit. His presence alone carried weight.
Hwan Shi.
The CFO of the company.
And Taehyung's relative.
With a faint smirk, Hwan Shi scanned the room before locking eyes with Taehyung.
"Starting the meeting without me?" he said, casually unbuttoning his blazer as he walked in.
A subtle tension spread through the room. No one said a word.
Taehyung leaned back slightly, lips pressed into a firm line.
Taehyung looked up briefly and said coolly, "The meeting starts on time. You're late."
Hwan shi gave a slight bow 'I apologise my flight got delayed."
Taehyung nodded once, his face unreadable. "Let's begin."
He adjusted the mic slightly and looked around the table, his voice calm yet commanding. "The main agenda of today's meeting is to inform you all about the budget for our upcoming project the new Starx Mall."
He paused, letting the anticipation settle.
"It's a 1 trillion won project," he continued. "As you're all aware, this will be the largest mall in the country once completed."
A heavy silence fell across the room. The shareholders exchanged glances, a mix of awe and concern painted on their faces.
"I know," Taehyung said, a hint of amusement in his tone as he leaned back slightly, "it's a massive amount. But it has high ROI potential."
All eyes turned to him again.
Taehyung let a small chuckle escape, his confidence unwavering. "With the scale of this project, the return will be just as grand. That's not just a prediction ...it's a promise."
Hwan Shi leaned forward, his tone clipped and professional. " Mr.kim I mean CEO Kim, companies don't run on promises. From my financial estimation, we should expect at least a 10 percent return annually on a project of this scale."
A few murmurs rippled through the boardroom. One by one, the shareholders began nodding in agreement.
But Taehyung simply leaned back in his chair, a slow, confident chuckle escaping his lips.
"Mr. Hwan I mean CFO Hwan I think you still don't know me well," Taehyung said, his voice calm but laced with steel. "I don't bet my faith on assumptions. I don't vow results without calculation. I've already analyzed the projected ROI."
He paused just long enough to make everyone lean in unconsciously.
"It's not 10 percent. It's 20 percent."
A stunned silence fell over the room. Eyes widened. Even Hwan Shi's fingers froze over his tablet as he mentally recalculated the figures.
"1 trillion won," Taehyung said smoothly, "means a return of 200 billion won per year. Minimum."
Even the boardroom's quiet air-conditioning seemed to still for a moment.
Taehyung's gaze swept across the stunned directors and with a very slow voice on Mic he says.....
"And that's just the beginning."
