Descending the stairs, Jennifer noticed the frantic banging on the door, while the other students looked on in terror. Craig observed Rini, trembling and covering her ears.

"How did I survive? How?" Rini thought, feeling detached from her own body.

"Now, let's go to Senior Drill Officer Melia's office," Jennifer instructed, her voice steady amidst the chaos.

Poco stood up and faced Jennifer. "Not. We should head to the emergency department instead!"

Jennifer sighed, meeting Poco's gaze. "I know you don't like her, but right now, she's the only one who can protect us."

"Besides, she probably has her assigned weapon with her," Jennifer added.

"She's right. I think we should go to her office," Craig interjected, showing them his phone. "The world is in chaos right now!"

Everyone watched the news as grass, vines, and plants rapidly spread through buildings, with humans transforming into monsters. The reporter was overtaken by the wild growth.

"Ahhhh!" The reporter screamed in terror, dropping the camera.

Just then, Mark pointed to a tree that seemed to have grown into the sky. "This can't be happening!"

Everyone watched as vines intertwined, causing the tree to grow into the sky, while people screamed as monsters attacked them.

"Seems like the end of the world. Ahhhhhhhh!"

One of the reporters exclaimed before the broadcast cut off.

Just then they saw the face of their monster on their phone.

"Ughhh….uhhhgg."

Meanwhile, the students stood in shock at the unfolding events as some immediately let go of their phones.

"My mother!"

One of the students shivered.

"She's in the hospital, currently undergoing surgery," she cried, dropping to the floor.

The students began discussing their family members anxiously.

Craig remained coldly silent, feeling a grim satisfaction about the situation.

"The thought of visiting them after the semester was my least concern," he thought, observing his classmates' grief.

"And I wish those devils turned into monsters or, better yet, were dead!"

"Alright, that's enough! This apocalypse has just started; we still have time to get out of here and make it to the emergency department where we can be safe for further notice," Poco began as he stood up.

"So if you want to save your family, we need to get out of here."

"Again," Jennifer cut in.

"We should join SDO, and after we get there We head out with her, besides head out ourselves, the possibility of casualties is high."

"Jennifer, this apocalypse is just starting, so the possibility of us being attacked on the bus is lower. Besides, I'm sure we have the academy police guarding the bus to the emergency department, rather than just relying on SDO," Poco said coldly as students and cadets from outside screamed rage in the background.

Poco pressed further, "And how are you sure most of the MPs haven't already turned into one of them?"

"Alright, that's enough," Craig interrupted urgently. "It's simple: let's split into two groups. Anyone who prefers Jennifer's idea, go with her; anyone who prefers Poco's idea, go with him!"

He gestured toward the door. "Besides, that exit door doesn't seem like it can hold those monsters banging on it much longer!"

"I'm with Jenny."

"I'm with Poco."

The students began dividing into groups.

Just then, the fire alarm started ringing.

"What the—?" Mark exclaimed as everyone covered their ears.

Rini muttered in terror, shrinking back. "This can't be happening; we need to get out of here."

Glancing at her phone, she added, "The vice president has been consumed by the vines too."

Everyone turned to the news broadcast:

BREAKING NEWS: MONSTERIZATION OF HUMANITY AND VINE APOCALYPSE

Current satellite images reveal extensive damage as vines overtake the world and humans transform into monsters.

Just then, Craig noticed a vine moving toward the door handle.

"Damn it. Everyone, to the door," he urged, immediately bracing against it. " the vine is trying to help the monsters get in."

"Come on, everybody, support the door unless you all wanna die!" Poco screamed, looking at everyone.

As most students rushed to reinforce the door, a boy pulled out a pocket knife and began cutting the encroaching vine.

"Didn't know we could bring knives to class, Starter," Poco remarked, glancing at him.

"Not really. Besides, this is a gabber, not a knife," Starter responded.

"Alright, that's enough! Let's figure out a way to get out of here. I'm not planning to die!" Guano yelled, losing her cool as the door threatened to snap from the monster's insane banging.

"Shut it and assist us, then!" Poco responded angrily.

"Alright, everyone, we can still move out of here to meet SDO," Jennifer began. "All we need is to get out of here."

Just then, they heard an announcement from the speaker:

"Students and cadets, any survivors, make your way toward my office. For those wishing to board the bus, it's waiting for you all at the underground parking garage."

"This is my last announcement before we completely cut o—"

The speaker abruptly disconnected.

"Damn it!" Poco slammed his hands against the wall.

"Now, anyone who wishes to follow me to the underground parking lot—let's go!" Poco said, heading down the stairs.

Craig watched as Poco, Mark, and Manning headed down.
