As Agent Deva of the Imperial Security Bureau, Devon Vael is a blade in the dark-a spy who infiltrates, manipulates, and eliminates threats to the Monarch’s reign. His latest assignment: embed himself with a rebel cell in the capital’s slums, befriend them, and burn them to ash.



But five months undercover has blurred the lines. The rebels’ laughter feels warmer than the Empire’s gold. Their cause, whispered in cursed manifestos, seeps into his dreams. And his long-lost brother, a fugitive revolutionary, may be among them.



When new orders demand the cell’s execution, Devon must choose:
