Chapter 151: Hagrid Carries Draco in a Princess Hold

"What! You're saying that I was originally supposed to be best friends with Harry Potter—and maybe even Ron Weasley too?"

Even under the influence of the Rationality Potion, Hermione Granger was still quite shocked. This meant that Regulus Black had changed what was already 'history', severing her ties with Harry Potter and the others.

"So, do you still want to return to Gryffindor now and be with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley again?"

Regulus Black didn't feel even the slightest bit guilty about playing the role of the villain.

"No! Right now, I just see them as two bratty kids."

Hermione Granger understood immediately. After all, from the moment she first entered Gryffindor, she had constantly been bullied and excluded by them. If Regulus Black hadn't intervened and switched her House, just how many compromises and how much patience would she have needed to maintain her friendship with those two brats?

And after two years in Ravenclaw, Hermione Granger's approach to life had changed significantly. Trying to mend things with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley now would be even harder than if she had stayed in Gryffindor all along.

"So, in first year, you had me wear a ring to attack the Dark Lord and save Harry Potter, but in second year, you didn't ask me to do anything at all. Clearly, in the first year, I had a role in Harry Potter's reckless adventures, but in the second year, I didn't. So, what do you need me to do this year? If it's to keep flattering Harry Potter and his friends, I'm not interested."

Smart and rational as ever, Hermione Granger had analyzed the truth and didn't hesitate to express her displeasure.

Such a feisty little girl, Regulus Black thought, feeling an itch to scratch his head.

"This year, huh? Well, after two consecutive years of changes, the later stages have already diverged quite a bit. Some things can be altered, but others are better left intact. At certain key moments, I still want you to be with Harry Potter. After all, he is the Chosen One! You need to ride that wave and build goodwill—it'll be invaluable for your future. My arrangements are all for your own good."

Regulus Black dropped another bombshell on Hermione Granger: Minister of Magic. She had a chance to become the Minister of Magic. For a thirteen-year-old girl, this was almost unimaginable.

But Regulus Black was confident. Before the end of the second timeline, Lady Rowling had written it this way. That made it history. No matter how things changed in the interim, as long as the key points remained intact, Hermione Granger was destined to become the Minister of Magic.

Rubeus Hagrid had served as Hogwarts' Keeper of Keys and Grounds for fifty years, and this year, he finally became a proper professor—Care of Magical Creatures.

In contrast, Regulus Black had only been a teaching assistant for two years, yet many students were unhappy. They believed Dumbledore was deliberately delaying giving Regulus Black a fair position or title. Regulus Black swore he had never instigated such opinions.

As a result, many students—especially those from Slytherin—weren't too thrilled about a half-giant becoming a full professor. And sure enough, young master Draco Malfoy, during Care of Magical Creatures class, went and provoked the Hippogriff Buckbeak, only to get swatted to the ground with a single claw swipe.

At the school infirmary, young master Draco Malfoy was lying weakly on the bed, groaning.

"Madam Pomfrey! I'm here to visit Draco."

Regulus Black entered to see Madam Pomfrey pouring a potion down Draco's throat. This scene played out nearly every day, and the way the patient always looked so pitiful made it easy for anyone watching to feel sympathetic.

"Talk some sense into this child. He actually provoked a Hippogriff! Truly brave—how did he not end up in Gryffindor, I wonder! He'll be fine—just needs to rest till tomorrow."

Madam Pomfrey's words weren't exactly praise. She definitely wasn't calling Draco Malfoy brave—she meant he had no common sense.

Gryffindor House was known for courage—and lack of brains. Of course, that only applied to a few; some people had just one of those traits.

"So, how did it feel to be attacked by a Hippogriff?"

Regulus Black sat beside Draco Malfoy's hospital bed and used his wand to inspect the wounds. Fortunately, the injuries weren't too serious, thanks in part to the strengthening potion Draco had taken earlier.

All of this had been arranged in advance by Regulus Black and Lucius Malfoy.

Letting anyone else handle the matter wouldn't have had the same effect as letting young master Draco Malfoy take it on himself.

Regulus Black's real target wasn't Rubeus Hagrid—but the Hippogriff Buckbeak.

As a transmigrator with the hoarding habits of a Squirrel Party member, how could I miss out on such an important character? I didn't even skip over the comatose unicorn—so how could I possibly miss Buckbeak, the hippogriff!

If the Draco Malfoy in the original book was arrogant and foolish, then the Draco Malfoy in reality is a textbook Slytherin. Putting on a hood and pretending to be a Dementor to scare Harry Potter might be considered playful, but outright provoking a hippogriff—such a foolish act could only come from a stereotypical villain.

So, when a potion capable of permanently enhancing the body was placed before Lucius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy was bound to do something stupid.

A potion from Diablo, infused with attributes to increase physical endurance—yet another creation from Regulus Black was unveiled.

When Draco Malfoy got his hands on the potion, he initially refused to become a lab rat. But when he found out the potion could double his current physical strength, he gave in! Especially after seeing Harry Potter lower his head to earn the creature's approval, and then get taken for a flight by the hippogriff—Draco was thoroughly annoyed.

At that moment, Rubeus Hagrid was asking Harry Potter how he was doing in his teaching, and Draco Malfoy took the opportunity to approach Buckbeak.

"You're not a dangerous creature, are you? You ugly big brute."

Draco Malfoy was a bit nervous, but he had great confidence in the potion's effects. It wasn't about trusting Regulus Black—it was about trusting his father, Lucius Malfoy.

For that, Draco Malfoy was willing to take the risk himself.

"Draco! No—"

Just as Hagrid turned his head, he saw Draco Malfoy already standing in front of Buckbeak—way too close—and without showing any courtesy, no bowing at all. The outcome was inevitable.

The hippogriff Buckbeak, unimpressed by this rude brat, lashed out with its sharp claws and knocked him down in one blow!

Hagrid quickly lured the creature away with its favorite food—ferret.

Looking at Draco Malfoy rolling on the ground, Hagrid was momentarily at a loss. It was clearly just a scrape! Look—there wasn't even any blood, only torn clothes.

"Hagrid! You should take him to the hospital wing right now."

Hermione Granger stepped forward at the right moment. That's right—this Care of Magical Creatures class was being held with all four houses. Regulus Black had brought the little eagles and badgers along to audit the class. Originally, they were all standing around the edges, and only the Gryffindor students were at the front. For Ravenclaws, gaining knowledge was enough.

"Of course! Of course! I'll handle this. Everyone else, class dismissed."

Hagrid carefully picked Draco Malfoy up as if he were cradling a baby.

"You'll regret this. You and your little chick."

Draco Malfoy lay on the hospital bed, smugly recounting the whole incident, describing how he casually scolded Hagrid—who, like a foolish half-giant, didn't even dare talk back.

"So basically, you got a princess carry from Hagrid. Sounds like you really enjoyed it!"

Regulus Black had a look of disdain, clearly finding great amusement in knocking Draco down a peg at the height of his arrogance.

Draco Malfoy's face twisted as if he'd just eaten a Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean that tasted like dog poop.
