Today's share of Kitahara Hitoshi's small group live broadcast time ends.
Welcome to come back tomorrow.
Luo.
Beep.
In the Heavenly Palace, within the sand region, Morizuru finally exhaled in relief after hearing the system's announcement. The small group's broadcast had concluded for the day.
But…
Kitahara Hitoshi had yet to leave with the ninja.
How terrifying.
When Morizuru first learned that Eight Tails had been captured and brought back to Konoha by Kitahara Hitoshi, it wanted to laugh. Eight Tails wasn't just unlucky enough to nearly become grilled octopus—he was dragged all the way back to Konoha.
What it didn't know was that Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's transformed ninja rabbit, the direct inheritance of the Sage of Six Paths' mother, was now quietly resting in Konoha.
Wasn't this essentially delivering food straight to their door?
And the result…
This was now the most dangerous situation imaginable.
It didn't even have the courage to explain anything to Kitahara Hitoshi. Worse, it had become cowardly just from seeing the ninja.
After all, when they first met, the other party had smashed it down with a powerful compelled Kabuto attack, and since gaining awareness, Morizuru had never suffered such a beating.
Not even Sage of Six Paths had laid a hand on it like that.
But there was no one it could complain to, and even Sage of Six Paths wouldn't necessarily take its side.
Luckily, after retrieving the ninja rabbit, Kitahara Hitoshi left again, leaving Morizuru alone for now.
Once the Sky Royal ability was activated, a dimensional link to another space was created. Since Ōtsutsuki Kaguya had access to it, Kitahara Hitoshi now had access as well.
But at this moment…
"Something happened today, so I'll go on the mission with you next time," Kitahara Hitoshi said.
He gently tucked the stunned little white rabbit, who hadn't recovered from her shock, into his pocket.
That signaled his intent to leave the Hyuga compound.
"Um… um," Hinata nodded obediently.
Though she was embarrassed, she thought she would be able to go on a mission with Kitahara Hitoshi. Instead, she was told to simply invite him home.
And now it had led to this...
"Sorry," she said softly.
"It's not your fault," Kitahara Hitoshi replied. "It just made me realize the world is much larger than I thought."
After leaving the Hyuga clan, Kitahara Hitoshi went straight to the Hokage Office and arrived at the village gate with Senju Tobirama, the Second Hokage, who was carrying the Book of Seals.
"…"
"Um… Nidaime, Lord Kitahara!"
The gatekeepers, still Izumo and Kotetsu, had already learned from Kakashi that the Second Hokage had confirmed the next Hokage candidate.
So when both men arrived at once, they immediately bowed in greeting.
"No need to be formal," Kitahara Hitoshi said. "We're here to pick up Eight Tails."
Pick up… Eight Tails?
They were referring to Gyūki, the Eight Tails. After Kitahara Hitoshi's group had returned yesterday, Eight Tails had been suspended at the village gate.
Gyūki was lying on his stomach, trying to recover from the half-charred state he'd been left in after taking a direct Tailed Beast Bomb.
Izumo and Kotetsu stood watch with serious expressions.
The rumors said that Cloud Shinobi Village had effectively ceased to exist, and that the 800 Cloud Shinobi brought back would be integrated into Konoha's ranks.
But this transition hadn't been officially finalized, so the Second Hokage hadn't publicly announced it.
Still, seeing a full-sized Eight Tails lying at the village entrance made it clear that the rumors might be true.
After all, if even the tailed beasts of Cloud Shinobi had been brought here, what else was left of the village?
And with all Chūnin-ranked and higher ninjas needing to be re-evaluated, didn't this mean they'd be working alongside the surviving Cloud Shinobi?
Konoha was clearly entering a new and unprecedented era.
Izumo and Kotetsu were momentarily stunned.
They were about the same age as Kakashi and had once been his classmates in the Ninja Academy. But their paths had diverged—Kakashi had become an Elite Jōnin, while the two of them were now just Chūnin stationed at the gates.
Still, they had experienced the Third Great Ninja War and knew its brutality.
For so long, the Five Great Ninja Villages' system had remained unshaken. But now, since Kitahara Hitoshi's debut as a Chūnin, things had begun shifting rapidly—Sand Village became Konoha's subsidiary, and now even Cloud Shinobi Village seemed dissolved.
They had never seen such monumental change.
It was only now that they realized the existing power balance among the Five Great Villages could truly be overturned.
"Let's proceed as originally planned," Kitahara Hitoshi said. "Find a few out-of-the-way places to set up Flying Thunder God markers."
"There's no issue with reversing the setup entirely," Tobirama responded.
"The original plan was to let the tailed beasts roam, and then reverse-summon them using the Summoning contract," Kitahara Hitoshi explained. "That way, I could teleport in and plant a few markers."
"But without contracts now, it's a bit more troublesome," he added.
Tobirama nodded in agreement.
Xiaoqun's live broadcast had ended, but since he had been resurrected from the dirt, he didn't need to return to the Pure Land.
The reason Kitahara Hitoshi approached him was simple — he wanted to learn the Flying Thunder God Technique.
He had to consider establishing a Flying Thunder God base in a secure location.
This was the necessary response after discovering the existence of Ōtsutsuki Shiren.
Otherwise, as seen in Xiaoqun's live footage, Shiren's chakra overflowed from his entire body.
Tobirama had no doubt Shiren could instantly annihilate Konoha, which was still unprepared.
So when an enemy of that caliber appeared again, Tobirama immediately followed Kitahara Hitoshi out of the village to set a spatial anchor.
Tobirama spoke.
"If it's for research, I can help, but I haven't done much more with contracts."
"The Uzumaki clan excels in sealing techniques and also has talent in summoning contracts. Summoning is, after all, related to binding summoned beasts."
It would be ideal if the Uzumaki clan could assist.
"Although my sister-in-law is the daughter of the Uzumaki Shinobi Village's chief…"
"The Uzumaki clan is gone."
"In the village now, only Naruto remains, but he hasn't been taught these techniques. The only other known Uzumaki was captured during the Chūnin Exams — the girl taken in by Grass Ninja Village, Karin Uzumaki."
"She is a pure-blood Uzumaki but lacks full knowledge of their clan's legacy."
"But your idea of preparing during times of peace is wise," Tobirama added.
"We need to be ready for something like a massive Tailed Beast Bomb falling into the village or a towering Susanoo cleaving the landscape and vanishing with the Flying Thunder God Technique."
Tobirama placed his left hand on Kitahara Hitoshi's arm and touched a tentacle of Eight Tails with his right.
Boom.
The pair vanished instantly with the mark.
"...?"
Izumo and Kotetsu were left dumbfounded.
A Tailed Beast Bomb inside the village? A sword slash cleaving it apart? Was such a terrifying existence even real?
How unlucky could Konoha be?
Elsewhere, Kitahara Hitoshi and Tobirama arrived, standing atop Eight Tails within the territorial waters of Cloud Shinobi Village.
This village, surrounded by ocean on three sides, was chosen for a reason.
Kitahara Hitoshi and Tobirama started establishing Flying Thunder God anchors beneath sea level here.
In future emergencies involving Tailed Beast Bombs or Truth-Seeking Balls, the plan was to direct such disasters away from Konoha — dumping them into the vast ocean off Cloud Shinobi's coast.
That way, Konoha remained safe.
"..."
Eight Tails.
Yes, Konoha would be fine, but wouldn't that mean doom for Cloud Shinobi Village?
Who would be so wicked and excessive?
Eight Tails really wanted to speak up.
But as it opened its mouth, it froze.
Since being sealed in Cloud Shinobi, it had cycled through three Jinchūriki. The last one, Killer Bee, had been unique — and it had willingly lent him power.
But unfortunately, Killer Bee had been fed to the Ten Tails.
Eight Tails mourned him. Still, if Killer Bee hadn't been used, then Eight Tails would have been the one consumed next.
Just seeing Ten Tails again made it nauseous and terrified.
It instinctively knew it had once been part of that abomination.
But Eight Tails didn't want to return to that.
It still hadn't completed the mission given to it by the Sage of Six Paths.
So... cowardice was wisdom now.
As long as it didn't face the Ten Tails again, it would accept anything.
And then, flowers bloomed in its thoughts.
Killer Bee was gone. Cloud Shinobi Village had fallen. It would never rise again.
So be it.
Eight Tails dived into the ocean with Tobirama's Flying Thunder God marker stone held in its mouth.
Half bull, half octopus — it felt like a natural swimmer.
It could dive deep.
And the least it could do for Cloud Shinobi now was to bury the markers deeper and deeper, ensuring that even if a Tailed Beast Bomb or Truth-Seeking Ball fell, it might buy the village a margin of safety.
"Speaking of that..." Tobirama stood on the shore. "Why did you inscribe two different Flying Thunder God markings earlier?"
"I won't deny your talent, but you shouldn't be greedy."
"One mark is enough," Tobirama said.
"One is my personal mark," Kitahara Hitoshi replied, "but the other was copied from Fourth Hokage's kunai."
"This way, if he's ever resurrected or reanimated, any disasters like Tailed Beast Bombs or Truth-Seeking Balls can be directed here."
"I see," Tobirama nodded.
"So... is that it? Are you planning to unearth Big Stupid and the Fourth Hokage?"
"Eh?"
Tobirama was about to keep grumbling when his expression sharpened.
"Look at the sky — the moon!" Tobirama urged.
Kitahara Hitoshi turned his gaze and saw the night's new moon, glowing bright, unusually close to the world — like the night before.
But now, a shadow was flying directly toward it.
It was flying...
Truly flying.
Heading toward the moon.
"What is that..."
"The previous Ōtsutsuki gave up," Tobirama said.
Kitahara Hitoshi shook his head.
The moon was closer than usual — a symptom of the incomplete Infinite Tsukuyomi.
And sure enough...
When Kitahara looked toward Cloud Shinobi Village, the Ten Tails they had left there had vanished.
Most likely, it had been used to trigger another Infinite Tsukuyomi.
So matching the silhouette flying toward the moon...
That was Uchiha Madara.
Kitahara Hitoshi lowered his head, glancing at the small golden fox in his coat pocket. The rabbit pushed its claws on the edge, gazing toward the moon too.
That little ninja rabbit — Little White Rabbit.
It had also sensed it.
The one heading for the moon was Uchiha Madara, half-white and half-black.
That meant he wasn't flying alone — he had brought Black Zetsu.
In other words, Black Zetsu was finally on his way to determine whether Ōtsutsuki Kaguya still existed on the moon.
And that was something Kitahara Hitoshi also wanted to know.
On the moon...
"Are there two moons?"
Madara, empowered by the fake Infinite Tsukuyomi, used the Rinnegan's attraction and repulsion to fly up. But as he landed, he found himself already standing on the moon's surface. Off to one side, however, was a smaller celestial body — another moon.
This was something he'd never seen before.
"This..."
Black Zetsu, still fused to his body, hesitated.
"It should belong to Ōtsutsuki Shiren — the descendant of the Sage of Six Paths' younger brother. He found me long ago and tried to destroy the ninja world. Konoha defeated him, and he was sealed."
"This must be his legacy," Black Zetsu muttered.
"Hehehe..."
Madara laughed.
"Konoha today is truly surprising."
"I never imagined Hashirama had this kind of power."
"It seems I was completely deceived by him..."
"So he's always been this strong..."
"He's been lying to me all along!"
Madara laughed bitterly, a grim smile tugging at his lips.
Black Zetsu fell silent.
Madara said he wouldn't be tricked again?
He didn't even know who Kitahara Hitoshi was. He still thought Hashirama had defeated him.
But that didn't matter — Black Zetsu had no intention of telling Madara.
He was just a tool.
And a tool didn't need to know everything.
