Chapter 3-Gettting money, and more

Filish slapped the bloodstained burlap sack onto the guild counter, five Heart Lillies spilling out like neon-pink entrails. The clerk, a gaunt man with a monocle and a perm that screamed "I hate my life," peered at them like they were moldy bread.

Clerk: "Epic-grade Heart Lillies. Verified. Reward: 200 silver coins, 20 silver coins each."

Filish: "Finally! Now I can buy pants that aren't 70% bear blood!"

*"110 EXP EARNED! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ:･ﾟ✧ Next wish unlocked at 500 EXP! (Translation: Suffer more!]*"

Serra: "You're… celebrating over pants? Gods, I'm babysitting a toddler."

Filish: "Says the woman who uses a hairpin as a weapon."

Serra: "Says the man who stole said hairpin."

The clerk slid a parchment across the counter. "Sign here. Guild rules: No refunds, no resurrections, no complaining about F-rank quests."

Filish scribbled his name in Japanese (a habit from his manga days). The clerk's monocle cracked.

Clerk: "…Is this Elvish?"

Filish: "It's art. You wouldn't get it."

"[40 EXP earned! you got into the guild]"

*"[New Mission: Complete 3 F-Rank Quests! Suggested: Rat Extermination, Laundry Duty, or Existential Crisis Relief! (◕‿◕)"

Filish: "I choose this quest, F-Rank Quest #1: Rat Extermination"

Clerk: "Sure kid, here is the directions, and that will be all, now go and do your quest"

*Filish holds the dirty paper in his hands to the tavern called the drunken minotaur*

Filish: "Ok, sure"

*They follow the direction and arrive into the tavern, after talking with the owner on how they are here to do the quest, they both get permission to go into the basement of The Drunken Minotaur*

Filish: "Why are the rats here the size of dogs?!"

Serra: "Because the tavern owner 'accidentally' brewed ale with growth potions. Now swing the broom, hero."

A rat the size of a bulldog lunged, fangs dripping with what Filish hoped was gravy.

Filish: "TIME STOP!"

**[System]: Skill Activated! 30 seconds remaining!"

Filish froze the rat mid-leap, its whiskers twitching in suspended rage. He and he saw a cabinet with multiple kitchen tools.

Filish: "Let's see… moldy cheese, no, whisk, nah, a frying pan, perfect"

"[20 seconds remaining]"

*With a haste, he whacks every single rat he sees, going into the tunnels, whack, until he is sure he has hit every single rat on the head with the frying pan, that doesn't look like one anymore*

"[Deactivating TIME STOP...]"

Filish: Time to look cool again""

Serra: "Time to take care of these ra-"

*Before she can finish, she sees every single rat suddenly NOT have a head, just one that is bashed in*

Serra: "Do you know flash step magic or something? Even so this is simply unbelievable"

Filish: "I have my own tricks, now lets go to the tavern owner"

*After telling the tavern owner about how they cleared the rats in his basement, he gives them a reward*

*Filish stares at the "reward": a coupon for "One Free Hug (Terms Apply, but at least it came with a single silver coin*

"[Just so you know, 100 copper coins= 1 silver coin, 100 silver coins= 1 gold coin, 100 gold coins= one platinum coin]"

*They are back at the guild hall, talking to the clerk for a new quest*

Filish: ""I'll take this F-Rank Quest #2: Cleaning at the rusty Bucket inn"

Clerk: "Be careful, I heard those people are rough around the edges and a tad bit easily angered if you know what I mean, now here is the directions"

Filish: "He doesn't seem all that bad"

Serra: "He just looks bad, he is quite nice once you get to know him" 

*They follow the directions, and so they arrive at the rusty bucket inn and start talking with the owner on what to clean*

Filish: "So we just clean up these three rooms and we finish"

Inn owner: "You bet, if you can finish cleaning these in under a minute I'l-"

Filish: "BET! hey system, stop time"

"[STOPPING TIME...]"

*He doesn't even know what the reward is but he used time stop anyway, he starts cleaning in the fastest way he can, cleaning the three rooms as fast as possible*

"[TIME RESUMING...]"

Filish: "So what will you give me? Huff huff"

Inn owner: "What you mean?"

Filish: "Check the rooms, they are all clean!"

*she checks all the room, she is absolutely flabbergasted as the fact they are all cleaned*

Inn owner: "Well, hey person that came with this kid, do you know how he did that?"

Serra: "I don't know, he doesn't tell me"

Inn owner: "I don't care I'll give yall two silver coins instead of one!"

*They leave, they get back to the build hall, seeing an easy quest: F-Rank Quest #3: Party Recruitment*

*Adventure's Guild hall – "Adventurers Wanted" Billboard*

Filish: "why is this quest just to get in a party of five, this seems too easy!"

Serra: "Well, Adventurers are getting low, their dying too much, and this quest gives a silver coin for getting into a party, which makes adventurers survive longer, making more adventurers join, a win win situation even if it cost the adventurers guild a bit of money"

"[If you do this quest, you will have done two quest at once! so I recommend doing it (ᗒᗨᗕ)]"

Filish: "Well need three more members. Any ideas?"

Serra: "Yes. Lie. Say we're a 'prestigious Party' hunting dragons."

*[Do what ever you have to do, even get dangerous ones, since they won't be able to attack you or any other party member! So hurry and get 5 party members! (⁀ᗢ⁀)]"

Filish climbed a soapbox (literally, a soapbox) and bellowed:

Filish: "Join my party! Benefits including: uh, a sausage for each of you!

*In this world, any type of farm animal is as rare as having a a dragon fall on you, so only three naïve adventures come up thinking he actually will give some for the people who joined*

Glim, a gnome chef armed with a ladle and crippling anxiety.

Glim: "Do you actually have some?!"

Thokk, a half-orc bard who only plays the world's tiniest accordion.

Thokk: "Those are rare, Thokk wants some please!'

Lira, a teenage "necromancer" whose "undead army" was one sleepy gerbil.

Lira: "Well, I've always wanted to eat rare meat! Wait..."

Filish: [to System] "Are these… jokes?"

*[Nope! They're sacrifices. (◕‿◕) Just kidding! (Or am I? ヽ(°〇°)ﾉ]"

Filish "No, we don't actually have sausages, sorry"

*They all are sad by this information, but they have been looking for a party to join so they join the party anyway*

Guild Hall – Party Registration

Clerk: "Party name?"

Filish: "Uh… Blink?"

Serra: "'Regret Incarnate.' Final offer."

Glim: [whispering] "Can it be 'The Ladle Legion'?"

*[Name Registered: "Filish's Circus of Mild Inconvenience." (You're welcome! ٩(˘◡˘ )۶]"

Filish: [facepalming] "I hate everything."

Filish: "I am the leader so I am calling my party BLINK!"

Clerk: "Ok, sure, your party is now registered"

*[Party of five Formed! 90 EXP Earned! (◠‿◠) ! ✧ﾟ･: ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ), now Here is the list of Missions...

First mission = Kill the starved bear about to ambush and eat you right now~70 EXP-NECESSARY- COMPLETED!!!.

Second mission = Pick up 5 VERY RARE EPIC GRADE "HEART LILLY" and turn them into the adventures guild~110 EXP-UNNECESSARY.-COMPLETED!!!

Third mission = Get into the adventures guild, the cost will be = 10 copper coins~40 EXP-UNNECESSARY-COMPLETED!!!

Fourth mission = Complete 3 beginner grade-F quest~90 EXP-UNNECESSARY-COMPLETED!!!

Fifth mission = Get a party(5 party members minimum) and complete 1 quest together~90 EXP-UNNECESSARY]"

Filish: "SO ALL I HAVE TO DO TO GET THE NEXT WISH IS JUST COMPLETE A QUEST TOGETHER WITH MY PARTY!"

**[System]:YES! The next wish costs 500 EXP. You're at 310 EXP. Go suffer two more quest. (＾▽＾)"

Serra: "Are you sure you aren't going crazy? Like you just always start saying the most random thing while talking to the air, sometimes I feel like I should just stab you and steal my stuff back"

"[Luck for you, party members can't hurt each other or you nor can they leave!(´◡`)]"

Filish: "Yeah, but even if we still complete the last quest of five, we still need 100 EXP?"

"[Yeah, I know, the sixth quest will the the hardest one yet ٩(｡•́‿•̀｡)۶]"

Filish: "Sure, hey Clerk, what is the quest available to our party?"

Clerk: "sure, you can do this D-rank quest"

Serra: "Is that not two ranks above out F-rank party?"

Filish: "Yeah, what are those again"

Serra: "You don't even know what the ranks are! Your stupid! Well, they are F-rank, then E-rank, then D-rank, then C-rank, then B-rank, then A-rank, then S-rank for strong adventures, then SS-rank, usually acquired by kingdom adventures or magic users, which just means people who are chosen by the king by a kingdom, and finally, SSS-rank, only for the strongest of people on the XLara planet, but there may be stronger people on other planets."

Filish: "Wait, other planets?"

Serra: "Yes, magic that allows you to fly, magic that allow you to create things, magic that allows your to resist heat, such as fire resistance, has long allowed humans to leave the planet, there are also other sentient lifeforms in the universe, they can talk but we have not been able to translate their language, but so far, we are a bit further in magical technology, I can't believe you don't know this"

Filish: "Magic technology?"

Serra: "YES IT EXIST! IF I TELL YOU THIS THEN STOP ASKING QUESTIONS, sigh, magic technology uses magic stones, usually carried by magic beast"

Filish: "Ok, lets go!"
