	I shouldn’t have been attracted to a girl. I had a lot of things to deal with, and most of them were more important than a girl I barely knew. So after Letisha left, I called Mason immediately.


   “Have you arranged everything yet?”


“Yes, boss. You’ll meet Mr. Brown at Bernardin Restaurant at 12:00.  ” Mason said in the phone, “Do you want me to inform him it’s you he is going to talk with?”


“No,” I said, “I’d like to tell him myself.”


Mr. Brown—Andy Brown—was the CEO of Enlight’s Cooperative Company. Apparently, he didn’t expect it was me he would meet with. When he saw me in the VIP room, he was so stunned. He stood up immediately, frozen like seeing a ghost.


“Adrian?” He murmured, “How could that be possible? They said you...”


He paused, but I knew what he planned to say.


“They said what? I was kidnapped. No one knew where I was now and whether I was still alive?” My eyes narrowed at him, “Sorry to disappoint you. ”
