Chapter 23- Betrayal

Letisha’s POV

Five minutes into the conversation, my stomach churned in distress, my head was pounding, and Robert Miles had given up all pretense that he was interested in discussing business.

He’d downed at least four glasses of wine in those five minutes, and his posture was slouched on the chair, his shoulders bumping into mine every time he tried to straighten.

I had shifted across the seat so many times that I was halfway into Caroline’s lap.

I threw the towel in when his hand reached out, and I felt his fingers stroke down my arm. I stood so abruptly that the table shifted. My anger roared in my veins, but the sudden dizziness that assailed me cut off my words.
