Chapter 33- A Family Affair

Letisha’s POV

“Why don't you wait at the entrance while I try to find some parking?” Adrian suggested as he pulled up toward the entrance to the venue for the award ceremony. It was, in fact, the second time we were approaching the entrance that night, as we had circled the building twice in search of a parking space.

I was pretty sure I heard Adrian mutter something about missing his driver, but he looked confused when I asked him about it, so I must have misheard him. Nevertheless, in the long, winding journey around the parking lot, I had come to realize something about my husband. Adrian was not a patient man.

It was almost comical how quickly he’d lost his cool when he realized all the spaces we approached were either reserved or occupied.

He was usually so unruffled that I had to stifle the urge to laugh several times, knowing instinctively that in his current mood, he wouldn’t appreciate my amusement at his expense.
