Letisha’s POV
“Are you okay?”
I glared up at the man who had just saved my life. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to thank him or kick his ass for putting me in this position in the first place.
Somehow, I didn’t think ‘thank you for pushing me out of oncoming traffic, after harassing me into it,’ would roll off the tongue so smoothly.
I ignored the hand Rodney extended to help me to my feet. Somehow, I doubted that offer for assistance would be free. And the last thing I needed was to owe this man a thing.
I took a deep breath and struggled to my feet. And I groaned the entire way.
I sighed when I saw my dinner on the ground. I didn’t even have the energy to get angry anymore. But I revisited that thought when my gaze strayed to my phone. Somehow, I knew even before going to grab it off the ground that it was busted.
I turned to glare at Rodney.
