The First Patrol

Since getting endowed with these abilities Aaron was sleeping soundly. Maybe it was to do with the training he'd completed in the proving ground but he was happy not to solely rely on energy drinks to get him through the day. Aaron cherished any opportunity to save money because he himself was living off of his father's money.

"Another gorgeous dinner Arni" Aaron finished his Chili con carne.

"Wasn't too spicy for you Master Aaron?"

"Not at all Arni, like the notorious criminal Goldilocks once said "this one's just right"" Aaron giggled.

"I like this new you master Aaron" Arnold started walking over to the kitchen. "You seem different"

"He couldn't know, could he?" Aaron whispered to himself.

"WHAT WAS THAT MASTER AARON?" Arnold shouted from the kitchen. Aaron acted as if he hadn't spoke.

"Lets see what Arnold is thinking today" Aaron thought as he flicked the switch in his mind.

"I do miss my old job, shame about all of the paper work but this one is more stable, and it hasn't cost me a marriage"

"Why are all adults depressing?" Aaron thought.

"WOULD YOU LIKE DESERT MASTER AARON?" Arnold queries. Aaron wasn't hungry but saw how happy it made Arnold to make food up for him.

"Some angel delight would be a treat Arni" Aaron looked at the time on his phone. "I best get to bed, Miss Cloves meant to be going over history tomorrow"

"But it's not even seven o'clock master Aaron"

"Yeah I know, but I'm trying a new routine" He just wanted to get some training in.

Aaron found it therapeutic to hit that sparing shadow.

"You have defeated an enemy please go back to the armoury"

"You have defeated an enemy"

"You have defeated an Enemy." Aaron used this time to wonder where this guy could be.

"Alive for three hundred years huh?" Aaron walked back into the armoury. "Records of humanity" Aaron racked his brain for any sort of idea because so far the powers he'd been given were not helpful unless he knew where to go. "I want to leave" the portal opened and Aaron went back to his room. Again he panicked Arnold but not so much this time.

"You definitely are getting clumsy master Aaron."

"Yeah but you know me, I'm a dopey lad anyway" Aaron responded. He pulled out his smartphone, jumping straight onto YouTube.

"How to find someone" he was starting from minus five when it came to tracking someone down."I'm not at FBI agent like most of the girls my age."

Loads of videos came up of "former" Spies giving their guides and a few random people that claimed to be international fugitive. He was working from scratch and had to come to terms with that fast.

Curious about ways to fight more effectively with his chosen weapons in the Proving ground Aaron looked at a few fight scenes in popular movies he'd scene.

"New training is avaliable in the proving ground"

"This screen needs to fuck off" He wasn't impressed with how often it just popped up unannounced all the time, it made him jump everyone.

"Dismiss" he said as he continued to scroll through his YouTube feed.

"Why aren't you looking into the new training?" Another thing he hated so far was the voice of his dead mother ordering and questioning him every two minutes.

"Then stop my heart, I'm trying to learn how to do what you want me to do" Aaron complained. "If it was made a little more clear maybe I'd have an incentive to go in and check it" there was no reply from the sphere. "That's what I thought" he ended.

Aaron was bored of scrolling through his feed and annoyed with the notifications of new training that was available to him. As a rebellious teenager Aaron couldn't give a shit. He decided against his butlers advice to get changed and go for a midnight walk.

The streetlights barely lit the streets of east London and it was plagued with homeless people with drug paraphernalia all around them. This part of London was considered a "No Go Zone" to tourists visiting but the odd group of lads coming here for a stag do would either cause the trouble or be the ones in trouble.

Aaron sat down at a bench which luckily didn't have any sign of homeless people nearby. He liked observing the goings on around him especially when it was a quiet night like this.

Aaron's goal this evening was to just relax. A grizzled hobo comes over to sit next yo Aaron.

"What's a lad like you doing out here?" They ask. Aaron initially ignored the man before deciding otherwise.

"Feeling different recently, I wanted to do something that would give me a chance to think"

"You don't have to be rude" the sphere didn't think Aaron needed privacy clearly.

"Leave me alone for five minutes" the homeless man looked shocked.

"Are you abit coco like me lad?" He seemed genuinely concerned.

"Just hearing a voice that won't leave me alone that's all" Aaron didn't think anyone would believe him anyway so decided to tell the truth.

"Oh I've been there, for me though it was the crack...or maybe the meth...i lose track sometimes" Aaron wanted to leave this guy to figure out which drug was for this day of the week.

"I'm gonna get myself off mate, you stay safe and keep out of trouble" He got up and walked away.

A young women wearing the shortest dress he'd even seen could he seen running on the opposite side of the road, he persuer was a few steps behind but looked as though he'd been out clubbing too.

"SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!" She screamed as she ran. The man was silent as he ran. He was jogging after her and not running which Aaron found intriguingly. He followed as she and him turned down an alleyway.

"GET AWAY FROM ME" She'd stopped in the alley to rest. He was like a predator going after pray. As she turned to run this guy had jumped on her, pinning her to the ground face to the pavement.

"Do not get involved" ordered the sphere. Aaron didn't like standing by as something bad happened.

"RAPE! RAPE!" the guy ripped her dress and she went silent. "Its now or never" Aaron thought.

Aaron ran down the alleyway and tackle the man which sent them both into a roll out onto the next street.

"RUN!" Aaron shouts at the women. "I SAID RUN, DO YOU NEED A WRITTEN INVITATION" he could see that she'd resigned herself to her prior situation. The man was angry.

"Cunt!" He muttered.

"Stay back!" Aaron ordered. Safe to say the man didn't want to listen and the fact that the women was clearly passed out due to her panic Aaron had to stop this man.

Aaron gets into a fighting stance. The man could see how serious Aaron was and placed his hand onto his pocket.

"YOU EITHER LEAVE NOW OR IM PUTTING A ROUND BETWEEN YOURS EYES" Aaron thought he was bluffing.

"You've not got a gun" Aaron edged closer. He didn't know if tonight was the night he'd die but he was against abusing women so atleast he'd die doing something noble.

The gun is presented. "Now fuck off you little shit" it's raised to the height of Aaron's head. Aaron could feel adrenaline pulsing through his body. He felt ready to go.

Aaron lunged at the rapest who'd fired a round which had caught Aaron in the shoulder but he kept moving. "Did he really shoot me?" Aaron thought as time seemed to slow down around him.

Aaron punches with all the strength he can muster. He goes straight for the chest in an attempt to wind him and succeeds. The man falls backwards dropping his firearm.

"Do me a favour and stay down mate" Aaron instructed as he walked over to pick up the weapon.

"Your crazy strong kid" The man whimpered in fear. "I'll go I'll go" he repeated. Aaron looked around to the women who was starting to come round.

"Its over love, your safe" Aaron said reassuringly then pulls out his phone, snaps a photo of the man who's now laying in a puddle of his own urine then calls the Police.

"Yeah officer I did try but I think that kid broke one of my ribs" The man explains to the police Sergeant that responded to the incident.

"But what about the gun we were told about sir?" The Sergeant asks. The man goes pale.

Both streets wither side of the alley were fully lit by the blue and red lights from the police cars.

"And you sir, you name?" A female officer asks.

"Aaron...Aaron Welling"

"And how old are you Mr Welling" She said figuring out who Aaron had reminded her of.

"17" Aaron replied.

"And simply stumbled upon this incident as it unfold?"

"Yes that's right Officer" He answered. The female officer then left Aaron to speak with the Victim of the assault.

Aaron's phone was blowing up. "Had someone called him?" Aaron was petrified by his dad, eventhough he pushed back a few times his Dad could be unforgivably cruel.

As he was about to call home, a notification symbol was illuminated in the corner of his vision.

"You have acquired a new weapon to use in the proving ground"

"Is it referring to the gun i picked up" Like he was ever going to use a shitty little revolver against a shadow.

Aaron made his way over to the Sergeant to make sure he was clear to leave.

"Your lucky that didn't blow out your shoulder young man" the Police Sergeant was referring to the wound he'd sustained that was banded on the arrival of an ambulance. "We may pop over in the coming days to go over some more details, but for now your good to go" Aaron was greatful that he didn't have to go to the police station aswell as he was completely followed.
