The pack council meeting was worse than Adira had feared. She stood in the center of the meeting hall, surrounded by suspicious faces and angry whispers. Alpha Darius sat on his throne, his face hard as stone despite his injuries.

"Eclipse Pack blood," he growled, pointing at Adira. "In our midst all this time."

Selene stood beside her father, triumph glittering in her eyes. "She's been hiding her true nature from us."

"I didn't know!" Adira's voice shook. "I swear on the moon, I had no idea about my past."

Magnus stepped forward. "Luna Adira saved many lives last night. Her power drove away Fenrir's wolves."

"Or perhaps that was the plan all along," Darius countered. "To gain our trust before striking."

Murmurs rippled through the gathered wolves. Some nodded in agreement, but others looked uncertain. Adira spotted Rowan at the back, his leg bandaged but healing faster than normal. He gave her a small smile.
