The Crown, the Mask, and the Kitchen!

The sky was dark, its stars shining brightly, for now. We never know what the future will bring. – Perhaps one day it will fall, and the Midnight Sky of the magical world will match with it. Starless, as the only thing left within its darkness would be the hope of the people it mirrors.

In this early morning, when the moon has yet to fall into its slumber. We return to the training grounds, into the room Tris broke into. – Deep into its darkness stood Fen, his eyes moving as he stepped around, opening a drawer, and swiftly taking the items inside.

After a few more steps, he stopped next to a table, which was made of thick metal sheets, seemingly made for the hot iron to rest onto. – He placed the items he grabbed onto it, simply letting their notes, which were attached to their corners be visible.

A crown of white ivory, seemingly vines seemed to almost sprout from its corners, yet it was not cracked. A small note in its corner titled it. 'Relic of Sovereignty - Solsong'

Moving on, the next item, and the last. It was a mask, seemingly made from the same Ivory material. Holding golden and green details, but seemingly... Inactive. Most of it was white, and the note in the corner read. 'Relic of Identity - Shroudsong'

Fen let out a deep breath, leaning his hands onto the table as he stared at the two relics. His eyes simply moving around lightly... – He was glad the runes around the room took Tris's attention away from searching around. That was his plan in the end.

Not that he had to hide them, but such Relics were strong, he was not ready to handle them, to handle what it meant to be a ruler, and what it meant to be known, to have an identity all would know.

The crown held one gem in its centre. Holding one lone white gem, with a rune inscribed in its middle. 'Sol.' And as such, for truth, it was a prison disguised as a crown. That gem wasn't for show. — It held a god inside it... – Not that he did not wish to free him. Sol God, or well. Nathen, Tris's father. Was one of his closest friends and allies... Yet, he couldn't, even if he wished with his entire being.

His hand moved, seemingly flipping the mask onto its back. – In one of its darker corners, it held the same Rune. – Yet if you looked closely, the rune's meaning could be interpreted in multiple ways... Every Sol rune ever made was different. And this one was the same.

As his eyes followed the rune, he already knew what they meant. 'Tris.' It knew who was supposed to be its holder. And so did Fen. – But he knew better than to empower the child without training, without experience.

Fen's thoughts were simply going wild, he did not know how he was to even give them when the time came. And suddenly. – His phone rang! On its screen, being the name he just translated. 'Tris.'

With a swift movement, he reached for it, picking it up and placing it to his ear. His free hand grabbed both of the standing relics and shoved them into the drawer, closing it. – Just in case, he did not know what to expect.

"Uhhh, My roommate is a fucking Sol follower. Same with her mother apparently... So, What the fuck am I supposed to do?"

Tris's voice echoed softly into his ears, Fen gave a simple and plain chuckle. – The child was truly a magnet to the gods, it seems, as even its followers want him to be found. Want him to lead. – Not like they even know that's what is happening, that is.

"Well... Good luck? What am I supposed to say? Deal with it, just don't tell them. Yet, at least. Just good luck with hearing their voice every time they utter a prayer."

Fen's voice spoke with a small grin on his face. Truly, this was just a slight bit entertaining... In the end, it was six in the morning! He really needed this.

"Fen, you want me to die? They are BLIND. I'm supposed to help them every time they need something. But how the heck am I supposed to do that when their voice echoes in my mind as they pray every time I help?! Come on, old man!"

Tris sounded exasperated, to him, this was something he did not take into account for in his 'Roommate Roullette'. After all, he expected way more normal things. Though he really wouldn't have minded a band roommate if he knew this would be the other outcome.

"You'll be fine! Weren't you the one who was speaking to me a few weeks ago when I came in to check up on you about beating some stronger shadow? Be brave! Be a man! Boy."

Fen spoke, his voice just cracking a cackle in the middle, clearly, this was keeping him quite entertained. – And as such, Tris was just standing in his room, lying in bed. Still, in his pajamas. His eyes moved, clearly annoyed.

"You are a bitch, you know that? You are a fu-"

And just as he wanted to speak into the phone more, it was closed in his face. Seemingly, Fen had enough laughter. – With a sigh, he just got up. – He always woke up way too early. If it wasn't the fact that he was not a human. He would have surely been dead by now.

With a small chuckle, he moved over, leaving the door and going down into the hallway of the dorm room. Entering the Kitchen! – The sparkles made themselves known as his tail raised itself, forming into the air. – And with another step! He opened the fridge! Taking out a few eggs and cheese as his tail moved and seemingly grabbed the spices off the table.

It was quite the usual for Tris, he loved abusing that for his ease. – His hands moved, cracking the eggs swiftly into a bowl! And cutting the cheese with a knife, he conjured it into the air, before dissipating it.

He placed the eggs with the cheese as he began using a fork to mix them into a scrambled eggs type of thing. He did not overdo it, he disliked omelette. It had to be the perfect middle!

His tail dropped the spices next to him as it moved to grab the bottle of oil. Tris bends down a bit and grabs a pan from a drawer right next to the oven. – He simply proceeded to place a TINY bit of oil inside. Along with the eggs, and placed them onto the oven before starting it.

Why? – He FEARED oil, any small boom, and he WOULD throw himself away. Maybe even out the window. – So this was his safest option! Simply slowly letting them cook, the smell filling the dorm room quite swiftly, as he mixed up a few spices, pepper and salt, along with a bit of herbs.

And as such, time went by. The fox was cooking swiftly and gracefully, just like his whole existence! – He was a big fan of it in the end, plus he loved making his own meals in the morning. Though most people ended up cursing him for being up that early.

By the time he was finished, the clock hit around seven in the morning. As a small alarm seemingly sounded itself from the second room down the hallway... Nora's room! – He knew such could happen, so he made enough for two meals! He wasn't one to leave the poor blind girl to cook for herself.

And soon, she scurried out of her room, the door lightly open, the smell probably also filling her own room. – She paused for a moment before walking over and leaning her hands onto the table, her head looking around.

"Tris-? Or is the kitchen burning the fridge?"

She mumbled lightly, Tris just gave a chuckle, moving over and sliding a plate as well.

"If the burning fridge smells that good, then I'm cursed."

Tris spoke, Nora giving a small chuckle of her own. – Tris was already digging into his plate, his tail sneakily sliding a fork over to her. Making sure it was easy to reach. She giggled, grabbing it. Stabbing at her plate loudly.

"Mm, when did you even wake up.. It is seven! You already cooked.. And smell like perfume... Actually, you smell like a fox. Makes sense."

Nora spoke with a chuckle, stabbing around in her plate and bringing the food up to her mouth when she found it. – Tris's tail rested onto the table, just wiggling around, then.

"Do I-?! That's. . Sigh, I'm gonna need to get rid of that."

The fox mumbled, his ears flickering, giving an exasperated sigh. Was it really that bad of a thing? Yes. He disliked people just being able to smell the fox fur off him...

Suddenly, without a word. Nora's hand moved around, perhaps trying to get into a better position. Finding itself, right, on Tris's tail!
