She paused to stare at the audience. "Do you guys see the madman? Madman means Loco in Spanish. Can you say, Loco?" getting an answer, she smiled in relief. Trusting her audience. "You don't see him? Excelente! But just in case, let's keep running together! Onward together. Our great escape!"
With her audience's loyalty, she trusts them, after all they wouldn't lie to her. But just in case, she didn't stop, her legs kept running.
"Dora! To your left!" Backpack yelled out with scared eyes.
Dora jumped in her spot. Her audience lied to her? Gasp. It was because she was Spanish in a Mexico-setting with Latino friends, was it?!
Well. There was no choice. "Hey, Pendejo!" Dora leapt towards him. "Try to catch these Spanish hands!"
She came up and threw her fists out. She threw a left, a right. A slap, punch and a kick. All were blocked by Toji, who was frowning.
This girl looked... so familiar...
Seeing an obvious opening in her strikes, he simply lifted a hand and slapped the girl.
On the ground, Dora spat out blood. She glared up at him. "No means no. Stranger danger!" she stood up with a calculated look. "You leave me no choice." she raised a hand up.
And then she said words that made the already puzzled Toji even more puzzled.
"Toji. No attacking."
Toji raised an eyebrow.
Dora had a smug expression on.
"Toji. No attacking."
Toji took a step forward causing Dora to widen her eyes in surprise. She stood up straight, her hand held out. Confidence decreasing with each step Toji took.
"Toji. No attacking.
"Toji. No attacking!"
But as Toji quickened his steps. Dora was screeching as if she came across the sight of her ancestral grounds being dug up.
"Toji. No attacking. Toji. No attacking. Toji. No attacking. Toji. No attacking. Toji. No attacking! Toji. No attacking! Toji! No attacking! Toji! No attacking!" Toji's fist made contact with Dora's face, sending her flying out of the warehouse and into the streets.
Sprawled out on her back, Dora looked at the starry sky with empty eyes. How? How was he able to go through the "No swiping" variable technique which she came up with. It always worked. Even the Special Grade Cursed Spirit, Swiper the fox, has to abide by the rules belonging to that technique once it was utilized.
Toji... he was the first to break out of it.
He broke the rules, and that makes him a alborotador. Which is really bad. Toji is a bad man!
Boom
Following the crash, Toji jumped out of the hole and landed in the middle of the streets.
And then, he faced Dora's direction with that same cold stare.
Dora clicked her teeth. "So persistent. Reminds me of the border policemen who were determined to stop me from crossing from that time." she brought her hands out, made a hand sign before pressing one hand behind the other with her pointer and pinkie out.
From above, the street poles were gifting the streets with light. With her hands under the light, below them, her hand's shadow took the form of a stretched out iguana. "Come out, Isa!" pools of shadows surrounded Dora before out from it came a standing Iguana.
The green Iguana, who just finished planting new flowers, was happy. She waved a claw at Dora. "Hi, Dora."
"Hola, Isa." Dora chirped. "Puedes ayudarme con esa persona?"
"Hm?" Isa hummed. Turning around to see a tall menacing figure standing in the dark ends of the street.
Isa gasped. "Oh no! Border police?!"
"Worse." Dora shook her head. Her eyes were serious. "Japanese!"
"Eh." Isa held her face in shock.
Seeing Toji start walking to them before going into a sprint, the two girls squealed.
They both ran, side-by-side.
Toji quickened his pace and was about to land a hit on Dora, when suddenly a long pink tongue shot out, wrapped around Dora's waist, pulling her back just in time to avoid the blow.
"Gracias, Isa!" Dora sweated.
"No problem, glad to help!" Isa yelled, running on all fours now.
"Dora! He's coming straight for us!" Backpack yelled.
Dora and Isa stepped up their pace.
As they ran, Dora looked back with frustration.
"For real man! I'm legal! I have my papers and everything, estúpido! You will not catch me alive! I will not be deported again!"
Toji, like the border police from back then, looked on with pleasure at his victim as he swiped his home-made weapon.
The weapon swiped just past Backpack's face.
Backpack could only do what he could at that moment, in response to Toji's actions. He fainted, foaming at the mouth with dull-empty eyes.
