19- These Days, Even Villains Don’t Stick to Their Jobs

"The second magic is Energy Explosion!"

Amora was well-versed in the art of baiting.

Seeing Aaron didn't react, she added, "Even Erin doesn't know this one!"

However, Aaron still didn't play along and instead frowned.

But after Amora mentioned "Energy Explosion," he vaguely recalled it—a rare and seemingly useless magic from his memory.

Loki had used it once.

That time, upon hearing that Frigga had died because of his guidance, Loki lost control of his emotions, his mind spiraled into chaos, and he unconsciously unleashed an energy explosion. The result? It destroyed some tables and chairs.

If those had been made of Uru metal, it might've been impressive.

After all, Uru metal is one of Marvel's most exceptional materials, used to craft several iconic artifacts.

Mjolnir, Stormbreaker, the Infinity Gauntlet, and even Thanos's blade—all were forged from Uru metal.

The Infinity Gauntlet could withstand the power of the Infinity Stones.

Thanos's blade could shatter Captain America's shield—a near-indestructible relic—in a single strike.

Stormbreaker nearly cleaved Thanos in half, almost ending the Infinity War early.

And Mjolnir? Thor, not far off, would have the most to say about that.

It was his beloved hammer.

Possibly even more important than his girlfriend.

But alas, all Loki destroyed were wooden tables and chairs.

Even if the material was special, how valuable could dungeon furniture be?

Most importantly, Energy Explosion demanded a hefty amount of magic power…

It made sense that Erin wouldn't know it…

Sure enough, Amora confirmed this in her explanation.

"Energy Explosion magic is an offensive spell that transforms magic into invisible explosives, dealing severe damage to surrounding enemies."

"It's perfect for clearing the field efficiently in large-scale combat."

"It can both kill and knock back foes."

Amora demonstrated on the spot.

Stepping into an open area, she unleashed a surge of violent magical energy in all directions.

With a boom, cracks radiated from her on the ground.

The earth even sank slightly.

However, Aaron's sharp eyes caught a fleeting pallor on Amora's rosy face.

Though it quickly returned to normal, he deduced that this move had consumed a significant portion of her magic, leaving a brief window of vulnerability.

In a fight, an enemy could exploit that moment for a decisive strike.

"See? The power's pretty terrifying!" Amora said proudly.

"Erin's illusion clones are nothing compared to Energy Explosion!"

"You made the right choice sticking with me, your big sister."

Aaron rolled his eyes, nodded halfheartedly, and began mimicking the Energy Explosion.

Soon, a series of blasts echoed through the air.

Outside,

"Queen, we can't wait any longer! Amora's making her move!"

Hearing the string of explosions, Erin couldn't sit still and wanted to rush in.

"Don't worry, Aaron will be fine."

Beside Erin, Frigga calmly reassured her.

A vision appeared in her pupils.

The scene inside was fully revealed.

"How could he be fine?! Amora… no man can resist her charm!"

"And I haven't taught Aaron more magic yet—this must be Amora's trick!"

Erin pictured Amora forcibly controlling Aaron—an evil witch using dark magic to torment him… horrific!

"For now, it seems Amora isn't controlling Aaron. She's teaching him Energy Explosion magic."

"The commotion is just Aaron testing out the new spell."

"There's no need to panic," Frigga said, remaining composed.

Hearing this, Erin finally relaxed.

But then another question popped up. "That woman can actually teach someone magic?"

At the Magic Academy, Amora, the psychic magic teacher, was the most idle.

Few were willing to learn psychic charm.

After that incident, the higher-ups had subtly emphasized the downsides of psychic charm magic.

The already small pool of charm magic learners had dwindled even further since then.

It was as if learning such magic would earn you strange looks in public. Plus, with Amora's temperament, she wasn't one to diligently teach disciples.

This made it hard for Erin to believe Amora could have a moment of genuine mentorship.

Frigga didn't respond, her gaze still fixed on the scene inside. If anyone saw her eyes, they'd know she wasn't as calm as she appeared.

A magic monster…

It really existed!

Loki stayed quietly by Frigga's side.

After hearing the series of explosions, he secretly wished Aaron would suffer more.

No reason other than Aaron threatening his status as the top mage and getting under his skin.

But after Frigga's explanation, Loki curled his lip, filled with regret.

Why did it turn out like this?

How could the Enchantress do something good?

Something was off!

Earlier, after parting with Thor and the others, Loki had sought out Frigga, hoping to learn new magic from his mother.

Or at least refine the magic he already knew.

Seeing this, Frigga didn't refuse. Loki taking the initiative to learn magic was a good thing.

The mischievous child was finally growing up…

While Frigga was teaching Loki, Erin had rushed in, warning that the Enchantress was targeting Aaron.

Loki had been thrilled and excited at the time.

He didn't like Aaron.

Geniuses might sympathize with each other sometimes, but more often, they clashed.

Especially since Aaron was a monster.

Geniuses outshone ordinary people, but in front of a monster…

It stung just thinking about it.

Loki was displeased and loved seeing Aaron falter.

The moment he heard Aaron might be in trouble, he followed Frigga to the Magic Academy without a word, eager to watch Aaron embarrass himself.

Yet, things always took unexpected turns.

The infamous Amora had inexplicably gotten serious and started teaching magic—and the one she was teaching was Aaron.

So frustrating!

These days, even villains don't stick to their jobs!
