Leo’s POV
Her smile, it was everything I had been thinking about since our last dinner.
Talking to Alicia was like talking to someone who really listened. She knew what to say, and when she was such a good soul, I couldn’t believe how she got mixed up in all this supernatural world.
Remembering my sister was emotional, and sharing it with Alicia made me feel like I had truly connected with her. Those were painful memories, not knowing what ever happened to my sister still haunted me.
“I don’t tell people. Not because I don’t want to—but because most don’t ask. Or they just wouldn’t get it.”
She nodded, and I knew she got it. She understood the pain I went through, not knowing what happened to my lil sister. I would do anything to find out what happened to her. Even if she had become supernatural herself, anything at all.
And if I ever found out someone had made her a monster, I would make sure they would pay the price. With blood and flesh.
