Vampire Queen’s POV
Silence is different when it’s chosen.
There’s a kind of stillness in mortals that comes from fear, timid, trembling, waiting for the tragedy to fall. But the silence I create? That’s control. That’s power wrapped in seduction. And tonight, I intend to use every part of it.
Alicia fought me for days, pathetically, beautifully. Each time she clawed back a second of movement, I smothered her with pleasure.
A shake while having breakfast and the mug would almost spill the coffee. A miss step when walking towards the door. A hand that shook while choosing a more revealing outfit to wear.
She doesn’t yet understand: the body will follow the hand that makes it feel alive. She’s learning, though. Slowly.
Tonight, I will teach her.
