Elina’s POV
My phone buzzed just as Ryan put me down. It was Isaac calling.
“Elina,” his voice crackled through the speaker, “How are you finding staying with Ryan so far?”
I didn’t hesitate to tell him exactly what I thought of it, “Honestly? I still don’t think staying at Ryan’s house is essential to my work. For one, his schedule is erratic, and I’m not sure I can keep up with him. Is it possible to make other living arrangements?”
“Hey, I’m literally standing right here,” Ryan said. “Plus, my schedule’s not that erratic. I’m just too busy training. That’s why I need you here, so we can coordinate when I’m not training.”
“You hear that?” Isaac said through the phone, clearly amused. “You don’t need other living arrangements, just find a way to accommodate his schedule, okay?”
I pinched the bridge of my nose before I answered. “Sure thing, boss,” I muttered into the phone.
