Opening the phone, she held it up in front of my eyes.

In the spacious hall, Seraphina stood in a white wedding gown, gazing lovingly at her dear brother. Their eyes locked, exchanging tender looks as they slipped rings onto each other's fingers.

Under the witness of the pastor, they vowed to stand by each other through thick and thin, never to abandon one another.

"Are you sure you still can't bear to leave such a shameless woman?"

"Rylan, if you're still crying and begging her to come back, you've truly disgraced all men. You might as well be reborn as a woman in your next life."

I gave a bitter laugh.

"You're right. I've embarrassed men everywhere. But it won't happen again. If I go back to her now, I'd be worse than a pig or a dog."

A flash of joy crossed Selene's face.

"Really? You mean it this time?"

I nodded solemnly.

Selene slapped my arm.

"That's more like it. At least my plot of land in the suburbs didn't go to waste."

I was taken aback.

"What suburban land?"
