"More importantly, you weren't going to live long anyway, and your Belmont Estate still needs me to bear a son."

Genevieve stood up, her expression returning to one of fearless confidence.

I gripped the armrest tightly, suddenly remembering something, and let out a cold laugh.

After kicking Kael away, I threw the photos the servant had brought at Genevieve's face.

They were all intimate, private shots of her.

"I may need an heir, but my Belmont Estate isn't willing to swallow just any crap."

Genevieve's face changed dramatically when she saw the photos, turning to look at Kael in disbelief.

Kael, guilt-ridden, couldn't bring himself to look up.

How could two people who teamed up to deceive me be so innocent? Kael was scared too.

He feared that once Genevieve became Mrs. Belmont, she'd turn her back on him despite her humble origins, so he prepared evidence to blackmail her early on.
