In Zone "B," the mid-level glitches, having somehow navigated past the defenses of Zone "A," arrived in overwhelming numbers. The mid-level administrators braced themselves, engaging the encroaching digital horrors. Rabajen, his resolve firm, moved to intercept the incoming wave of corrupted data. But then, his advance halted. A truly grotesque spectacle unfolded before his eyes.
From the back of a humanoid glitch, its very form constructed entirely of wood, sprouted an uncountable mass of wooden limbs, each twisting and branching like grotesque tentacles. And upon each of these unnatural extensions, impaled and writhing in their final moments, were the bodies of administrators. Thousands upon thousands of them, a silent, screaming forest of the fallen. The wooden glitch wore a disturbingly wide smile.
"You enjoy this display, don't you?" the glitch's voice echoed, the cheerfulness in its tone a stark contrast to the horrific tableau it presented. Rabajen found himself utterly speechless, his breath caught between shock and pure, unadulterated terror. The impaled, half-dead administrators began to wail, their cries a chorus of agony. "Help us!! Save us, please!!"
The glitch's smile twisted, the manic joy fading into something colder. "I suppose these dead weights have served their purpose." The wooden branches began to splinter and break, and the impaled bodies of the administrators plummeted into the digital abyss below, their screams echoing briefly before being swallowed by the void.
Rabajen stood frozen, the sheer cruelty of the scene eclipsing anything he had witnessed before. Even Bruhsuperdoom's depravity seemed pale in comparison. But the shock couldn't hold him forever. With a sudden, decisive movement, Rabajen ripped his elegant shirt apart, the tearing fabric a sharp sound in the otherwise silent horror. His bare chest, corded with muscle, was now exposed. He shifted into a combat stance, his eyes narrowing.
"You overgrown weed!" Rabajen's voice, finally free, was low and dangerous. "My children are fighting on the front lines, and I, their mentor, will personally exterminate mid-level glitches like you!"
A dry, rustling laugh emanated from the wooden figure. "Many have uttered such boasts, little admin. But none have truly tasted the depths of terror!" The glitch shifted its own wooden limbs, adopting a fighting posture. "My name is Monjen. Etch it into your memory, for it is the name of the one who will extinguish your existence!"
Rabajen's gaze remained unwavering. "My name is Rabajen, and I swear upon the lives of my children that I will defeat you! I will never lose again!"
Both figures coiled, a silent promise of violence hanging in the air. Then, Rabajen exploded into motion, a blur of speed aimed at delivering a devastating punch. But Monjen, surprisingly agile for its wooden construct, sidestepped the blow and retaliated with a swift punch of its own. Rabajen dodged, and Monjen's left arm suddenly elongated, branching out into a multitude of whip-like wooden tendrils. Rabajen weaved through the majority of the attacks, enduring the glancing blows, before launching himself forward in another burst of speed, his leg extended in a powerful flying kick aimed squarely at Monjen's face. The wooden glitch reeled backward from the impact.
But even as Monjen stumbled, a sinister counterattack bloomed. Yellow flowers erupted on Rabajen's kicking leg, blossoming into violent explosions. Rabajen gritted his teeth, enduring the blast, but Monjen was already sneering. "You possess impressive physical strength and resilience. Those little blossoms should have severed your right leg. I concede, you are not a weakling. But this is far from over!"
Without warning, Monjen lashed out, its wooden limbs forming a crude but powerful hammer. Rabajen managed to raise his arms in a block, but the force of the blow sent him skidding backward. Monjen pressed its advantage, its right arm morphing into a sharp, wooden spike, aimed for Rabajen's vitals. But the experienced admin was ready. He caught the impaling weapon between his two hands, his grip like iron, and with a grunt of effort, he flung Monjen's arm upwards. Seizing the opportunity, Rabajen shot forward, his fist slamming into Monjen's stomach.
Yet, a malevolent smile spread across Monjen's wooden face. From its body, two new wooden branches erupted on either side of Rabajen. And upon these branches, countless yellow holes materialized, spitting forth a simultaneous, point-blank barrage of explosive energy. The blast engulfed Rabajen in a cloud of smoke. When it finally cleared, Rabajen stood in a defensive stance, several angry burns marring his skin. Monjen, momentarily taken aback by the admin's tenacity, remarked, "You are proving remarkably difficult to terminate. But do you truly believe you can prevail?"
"If I don't try," Rabajen growled, his voice tight with pain, "I'll never know! Berserker armor mode!"
A metallic bracelet on Rabajen's left wrist flared with an intense orange light. From this focal point, a viscous, dark substance spread rapidly across his skin, hardening into a full suit of armor. Lines of vibrant orange energy pulsed across its surface, and the visor snapped shut, revealing two glowing orange eyes. Rabajen shifted into a more aggressive stance.
Monjen, unfazed, immediately retaliated, unleashing a rapid-fire volley of sharpened wooden branches from its right arm. But Rabajen didn't even attempt to dodge. He moved forward, a relentless engine of destruction. Each impact against his armor caused the orange energy lines to blaze brighter. With a sudden burst of speed, Rabajen closed the distance and unleashed a devastating punch into Monjen's stomach, the force sending the wooden glitch hurtling backward. Yellow flowers bloomed across Rabajen's armor, detonating in a series of violent explosions, but the armored admin pressed on, delivering a relentless barrage of punches to Monjen's face. The glitch attempted to counter with a wooden spike, but Rabajen simply took the blow head-on, the impact jarring his armored form, before driving a brutal knee into Monjen's gut, the force launching the wooden glitch even further.
Monjen, visibly rattled by Rabajen's sudden surge in power, exclaimed, "How is it possible that none of my attacks are truly effective!?"
Rabajen's voice, now distorted by his helmet, was grim. "Now that I am an admin, I have trained relentlessly to become stronger, to enhance my armor. In its base form, it absorbs the damage inflicted upon me and converts it into energy, which I then unleash through my strikes. In the past, this armor shattered under excessive damage, but I am far stronger now!"
A manic laughter bubbled up from Monjen's wooden throat. "Is that all?! Your armor is indeed formidable, but can it withstand a sustained assault?! Singularity Scary Woods!"
Monjen's body began to contort and shift violently. More woody ligaments snaked across its arms and legs, bulking its form into something even more grotesque and muscular. And from its back, an impossible number of wooden tentacles erupted, twisting and intertwining to form a massive, circular cage of branches, trapping both Monjen and Rabajen within its confines. Rabajen immediately adopted a defensive stance, but he barely had time to react before a torrential downpour of razor-sharp wooden branches rained down upon him from every direction. Forced into a purely defensive posture, Rabajen could only brace against the relentless assault. Then, an ominous change occurred. The tips of all the wooden branches began to glow with the sickly yellow light of the explosive flowers. A deafening roar ripped through the wooden cage as a colossal explosion engulfed Rabajen. His armor groaned under the strain, and the enemy attacks began to pierce through, tearing at his flesh beneath. Desperately, Rabajen tried to redirect the incoming damage by lashing out with armored fists, but the sheer volume of attacks rendered his efforts futile. Monjen's mad laughter echoed through the cage. "Now, you die!"
With a final, triumphant flourish, Monjen conjured an enormous, sharpened wooden trunk and hurled it towards Rabajen, who was still being battered by the relentless barrage of branches and explosions.
"Admin mode," Rabajen roared, a crimson light erupting from his armored form, "install armor of the sleeping demon!!"
With a single, earth-shattering punch, Rabajen obliterated the massive wooden trunk. Now, his armor pulsed with a malevolent red aura, and the energy lines across its surface had shifted to the same crimson hue. Panic flickered across Monjen's wooden features as it unleashed another furious volley of pointed branches. But Rabajen simply smashed through them with a contemptuous punch, the force of the blow sending a shockwave that slammed into Monjen. In the blink of an eye, Rabajen was upon the glitch, delivering a rapid-fire series of devastating punches before launching Monjen backward with a final, brutal blow.
Staggering, Monjen gasped, "Impossible! No one should survive my singularity!"
"I'm sorry for you," Rabajen's voice, now carrying a chilling undertone, resonated from his helmet, "but I am no longer the Rabajen of before. I must keep pace with my children!"
"It's impossible for you to have become this powerful so suddenly!" Monjen shrieked. "There must be some trick!"
"My admin mode install allows me to generate continuous power by drawing upon my immense physical endurance," Rabajen explained, his voice strained. "But I have yet to fully master this immense power, and there are… side effects." Rabajen flexed every muscle in his body, and thin streams of blood began to seep from the seams of his armor, dripping into the nothingness below. Now, his crimson armor was stained with his own blood. "I will end you here and now!"
Monjen, desperate, unleashed a barrage of gigantic, sharpened wooden branches. But Rabajen tore through them as if they were mere leaves, each strike costing him more precious blood. He finally managed to close the distance, but Monjen, in a last-ditch effort, covered itself in explosive yellow flowers. The detonation ripped through the air, but Rabajen, fueled by a grim determination, slammed both his fists into Monjen's stomach with earth-shattering force, the impact tearing through the wooden flesh and piercing the glitch's core.
Monjen shrieked in agony. Rabajen saw that his blow had struck the core, but it was merely damaged, not destroyed. He turned to attack again, but Monjen stood completely still. "Singularity Scary Woods Awakened!"
A colossal yellow flower, larger than the wooden cage itself, erupted around Monjen, engulfing the glitch completely. Rabajen could only watch as the enormous bloom unfurled its petals, bathing the area in an intense yellow light. In the center of the blossoming horror stood Monjen, its internal structure now a vibrant yellow. Countless yellowish bristles lined its mouth, and its body had transformed into a sleek yet muscular construct of golden-yellow branches and roots. Both its arms and legs were now slender but powerfully built, as was its torso.
"I... I have just evolved!" Monjen's voice, now higher and more resonant, echoed. "I was forced to adapt to this point to face you. Be honored, Rabajen!"
"Evolve all you want," Rabajen retorted, his voice grim, "but the damage I inflicted upon your core will have a steep price, I imagine."
"Silence!" Monjen roared, landing before Rabajen with a thud. "Now begins the final act!"
Both combatants shifted into their stances once more, and then, with simultaneous bursts of speed, they collided. Their fists met with a force that unleashed a shockwave, and then they were locked in a furious exchange of rapid-fire punches, neither utilizing any special abilities or techniques, just raw, brutal force. Rabajen attempted a flying kick, but Monjen parried and countered with a sharp, yellow spike that pierced Rabajen's side. Ignoring the searing pain, Rabajen delivered a powerful headbutt, slamming his armored head into Monjen's forehead, destabilizing the glitch. The yellow spike tore free from Rabajen's side, and without missing a beat, he unleashed another relentless flurry of punches, striking Monjen repeatedly. But the glitch retaliated with a powerful punch to Rabajen's stomach, forcing him to stagger back. Monjen then conjured a circular saw made of wood and attempted to decapitate Rabajen, but the armored admin shattered the spinning blade with a single punch and followed through with another, sending Monjen crashing into the remnants of the enormous yellow flower. Rabajen landed atop the shattered petals.
Immediately, Monjen unleashed a cloud of explosive pollen, but Rabajen used the resulting smoke as cover to launch another attack. Monjen dodged and created a sharp, yellow wooden blade, attempting to strike Rabajen, but the admin ducked low, charged both his fists, and unleashed a devastating double punch into the base of the massive flower, shattering it completely and creating a swirling vortex of petals. Monjen tried to exploit the confusion, attempting a surprise attack from behind, but Rabajen, his senses heightened, delivered a sharp elbow strike to the glitch's face. Monjen staggered backward, attempting another attack, but Rabajen dropped low again and, with all his remaining strength, slammed both his fists into Monjen's chest. The glitch's chest glowed intensely, and with a sickening crack, Monjen's core shattered. Amidst the falling petals of the destroyed flower, Monjen began to disintegrate. "Nooo! I was meant to be the perfect being! You should have died, you…" Monjen's body turned to dust, and Rabajen deactivated his admin mode install. His body was riddled with wounds from the immense strain, but he looked towards the encroaching system bug, his gaze resolute. "I believe in you, my children. Win this war!"
