Sylene, the pulsating brain of the revolution, had found refuge in the forgotten belly of Sharon's laboratory, nestled in the silent depths of the Mushroom Forest. Before her, a symphony of giant screens danced with images of the fighters, each a crucial piece in her complex strategy. But the underground quiet was brutally interrupted by a telluric jolt, a tremor that shook the very foundations of the laboratory.
The images on the monitors turned an alarming red, a chorus of emergency signals screaming imminent danger. With her heart in her throat, Sylene peered through the cold eye of a security camera. To the north, the unthinkable had happened: a brutal breach tore through a wall, a dark invitation for anyone who dared to profane their secret sanctuary.
From the bowels of the destroyed wall emerged an unsettling figure. Gray hair, long and disheveled like a harbinger of doom, framed a subtle and disturbing smile, a smirk that promised trouble. They wore an elegant white military uniform, immaculate yet strangely menacing. Their eyes, windows to an unknown abyss, featured sclera as white as lime, irises as gray as the storm, and pupils as black as pitch. They were tall, imposing, with an average build that did not diminish their aura of danger. A black fur cloak billowed behind them, and in their hand they clutched a long gray iron whip, a symbol of relentless power.
The intruder took a few steps forward into the corridor, their probing gaze sweeping the surroundings. "So this is their base," they murmured with that persistent smile, their voice barely a whisper that nonetheless resonated with an chilling confidence. "It really does look like a laboratory, interesting."
No sooner had they taken another step than two mouths of fire materialized from the ceiling. Rotating-barrel machine gun turrets erupted in a deluge of bullets, a storm of lead directed at the unexpected guest. But they remained impassive, the smile glued to their face. With a lightning-fast movement, the whip in their hand extended, its length multiplying unnaturally. With a single, swift lash, the two turrets were reduced to a heap of smoking scrap metal.
The person continued their inexorable march through the laboratory corridors, the sound of their footsteps echoing ominously. They finally reached a large central room. In the middle, on a black swivel chair, sat Sylene, her legs elegantly crossed. She wore her usual white lab coat and held a small USB drive in her right hand. A confident smile creased her lips.
"So you would be the mastermind behind all this?" Dedcrow began, their tone calm and inquisitive. "You should be Sylene, correct?"
"Yes, that's me," she replied, her voice quiet but laced with a subtle challenge. "I see you are very well informed about us."
"Sayler gave us every useful piece of information about you," Dedcrow retorted, their gaze wandering around the room, analyzing every detail.
"Then you will know what I am capable of," Sylene continued, her smile widening, almost predatory. "Your power is very interesting. You can use those needles on your whip to create mini electric shocks that generate effects similar to shockwaves, capable of breaking down the cellular structure, creating devastating wounds."
"You are as intelligent and perceptive as Sayler described you," Dedcrow admitted, a flicker of admiration briefly shining in their gray eyes. "I like it."
"Then you will also know where we are, right?" Sylene pressed. "To get here, you must have entered through the damaged part from the last explosion, the one caused by Sharon when she was attacked by that Null glitch."
Dedcrow stared at the USB drive in Sylene's hand. "Do you really think you can survive?" they asked, their tone strangely placid. "You admins have no purpose in the world that Sayler will create."
"You noticed the USB drive, didn't you?" Sylene said, ignoring their question. "This was Sharon's laboratory, and it contained many secrets and experiments that I personally retrieved and exported to this drive. But now that everything important is inside here, this laboratory no longer needs to exist."
With a fluid gesture, Sylene made the USB drive vanish. In its place, a small black rod with a red button on top appeared in her hand. Immediately, Dedcrow understood Sayler's intentions. They tried to stop her with their whip, but the admin was faster. Her finger pressed the button.
The entire underground structure exploded in a deafening blast, reduced to a pile of smoking rubble.
Amidst the curtain of smoke and debris, Sayler and Dedcrow re-emerged, catapulted onto the surface of the Mushroom Forest, now shrouded in the darkness of night. Sylene was unharmed, while Dedcrow bore burns all over their body, tangible signs of the explosion they had just endured.
"An extreme gesture, I see," Dedcrow commented, their voice hoarse but still laced with a shadow of sarcasm. "But do you really think I came alone?"
From the dark depths of the surrounding forest, like shadows coming to life, countless hunters emerged, their eyes gleaming sinisterly in the dark. But Sylene did not seem surprised. "Do you really think I can't handle a few opponents?" she retorted with a defiant smile. "Bruhsuperdoom, Benamoth, come here!"
Immediately, two figures materialized at Dedcrow's sides, as if ripped from nowhere. Bruhsuperdoom, with his sharp teeth and red eyes, dressed in elegant black trousers and a jacket, completed by a red tie and neatly combed black hair. And Benamoth, with blond hair, wearing an elegant white and yellow suit, his skin tending towards yellowish, and eyes that emanated a golden light.
"I'll take care of these small fry," Sylene declared, gesturing towards the hunters with a wave of her hand. "You two will face Dedcrow."
"Yes, Mother!" Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth replied in unison, their gazes fixed on the enemy commander.
The two approached Dedcrow, who assumed a fighting stance, a faint smile playing on their lips despite the injuries. "Things are getting interesting," they murmured.
In his right hand, Benamoth materialized a long and thick sword enveloped in a yellow aura. "Brother," he said to Bruhsuperdoom, "don't do it like usual."
Bruhsuperdoom replied with an unsettling and malignant smile. "You know how I am, it's my nature."
Immediately, both assumed a fighting stance, one on each opposite side of Dedcrow: Bruhsuperdoom on the left and Benamoth on the right. Dedcrow extended their long whip, but before they could attack, Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth sprang forward, lunging towards them with surprising speed. One tried to hit them with a powerful punch, the other with an equally devastating slash. Dedcrow parried both attacks with their whip, causing the myriad of needles on its surface to emerge, creating a rain of tiny shockwaves that struck both opponents.
Benamoth was thrown backward, but Bruhsuperdoom did not budge an inch. Despite the wounds that tore at his skin, he advanced towards Dedcrow, attempting to hit them with an even more powerful punch. The commander, however, blocked his arm with the whip and hurled him away. Benamoth tried to strike the whip with a slash of his sword, but the iron cord proved too resilient, and the powerful vibrations prevented the blade from getting close.
Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth began to circle Dedcrow at great speed, bombarding them with a rain of rapid punches and slashes. Dedcrow managed to parry most of the attacks with their whip, but their coordination was impressive. Benamoth used his singularity to teleport, dodging many blows from the whip and dangerously approaching Dedcrow, attempting to strike them with a lightning-fast slash. The commander was forced to retreat. Bruhsuperdoom arrived from behind, trying to surprise them, but Dedcrow activated their whip again, and both opponents were once again hit by a myriad of cuts, forcing them to retreat. Their wounds, however, began to heal slowly thanks to their regeneration.
"Interesting, very interesting," Dedcrow commented, a new respect creeping into their voice. "Sayler didn't talk much about you, but you are worthy opponents. Fragments, deadly whip!"
Dedcrow's whip extended exponentially, becoming so long that it completely enveloped them, creating a rotating sphere of iron that tightened around them. When the sphere dissolved, Dedcrow emerged wearing a completely iron, technological, and shiny suit, adhering to their body like armor. They assumed a new fighting stance, their sardonic smile still present. "I believe you will have other things to think about now besides me," they declared with a tone that promised trouble.
Sylene, still busy fighting the hunters, was surprised by Dedcrow's new form. In that moment of distraction, a hunter stabbed her from behind, plunging a dagger with a black, glitch-corrupted blade into her side. Sylene spat blood, but turned around with lightning speed, shooting an arrow into her attacker's head and pulling the dagger from her flesh.
"MOTHER!!" Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth yelled in unison, rage igniting in their eyes.
"Don't worry about me," Sylene gasped, her voice breathless. "Keep fighting. Admin mode instal boundless brain!!"
An enormous gray aura erupted from Sylene, enveloping her like dust. Her hair lengthened, turning silvery gray, and her clothes transformed into long black trousers and a short-sleeved gray jacket. Her bow dissolved into pure energy, reforming on her wrists as two crossbows. Sylene looked at her wound, the flesh corrupted by the glitch, and murmured, "This will be difficult to heal," before returning to fight the hunters surrounding her.
Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth were furious. "Admin mode instal, Singularity Destruction!" Bruhsuperdoom roared, emanating a powerful red aura. Two black brass knuckles with red energy trim appeared on his hands.
"Admin mode instal, Singularity Projection!" Benamoth declared, enveloped in a yellow aura. A yellow energy bow formed behind his back, pointing upwards, and his sword grew slightly larger, radiating a golden light.
Immediately, all three assumed a fighting stance, ready to unleash their fury.
Dedcrow darted towards Bruhsuperdoom, attempting to strike him with a rapid punch, but the other parried the blow, being thrown backward. Behind the commander, however, arrived Benamoth, who tried to hit him with a powerful slash. Dedcrow turned around at the last instant, dodging the attack and in turn attempting to strike Benamoth with a punch. But just as the blow was about to hit the target, Benamoth used his Singularity Projection to partially teleport inside Dedcrow's body, who was hit by a barrage of yellow energy slashes on his left side.
Dedcrow retreated, and immediately Bruhsuperdoom attacked him with a punch imbued with red energy. Dedcrow parried the blow, then landed a powerful punch in Bruhsuperdoom's stomach and attacked Benamoth with a spinning kick that was parried but still sent him staggering back due to the force of the impact.
Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth immediately stood up and both dashed towards Dedcrow, one from the left and the other from the right. The commander parried both attacks with their hands, using their superhuman strength to push them back. Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth were breathless. "Is that all you can do?!" Dedcrow taunted them.
Sylene had just defeated the last of the hunters, but she was exhausted and fell to her knees. "Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth," she gasped, "we created them with a part of my personality and Sharon's. Benamoth was born from mine and Bruhsuperdoom from Sharon's. Their initial purpose was to test them to discover the weaknesses of the glitches, but then we started wanting to create a weapon capable of destroying all the glitches, and we trained them to become stronger and stronger. But Bruhsuperdoom began to become unstable, and Sharon was forced to confront him and seal him, then she erased the memory of both glitches so that they could never meet again. The 'Vector' project somehow scared the supreme admin who kicked both of us out of the admin group, and we never managed to see our complete project together. We wanted something that would eliminate all glitches, a weapon capable of ending their existence, this was the purpose of the Vector project. Now that Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth have reached such a point of harmony, they can become what Sharon and I have always wanted to see, create a being superior even to a god."
Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth stood before Dedcrow. "Damn it," said Bruhsuperdoom, "it really seems like this guy beat us up pretty good. I feel like a buzzing in my head."
"You're right," Benamoth nodded, "I feel it too."
The two looked at each other and exchanged a fist bump, both emanating a powerful white aura that illuminated the dark night. When the light dissipated, a single entity emerged from the glow: it was dressed in a white toga that covered it from shoulders to feet, had long white hair that reached its lower back, wielded a long white sword, and had eyes with white sclera, silver irises, and black pupils. But suddenly, its hair began to turn black like the toga and the sword, its eyes darkened, its skin became slightly darker, and throughout the VR WORLD an enormous pressure was felt that affected everyone.
"You... who are you?!" Dedcrow asked, a thread of fear creeping into their voice.
"I am the end," the entity replied, its voice deep and echoing with immeasurable power.
With a supersonic dash, the being struck Dedcrow with a powerful punch in the stomach that sent them flying against a distant tree. "I am the fusion of Bruhsuperdoom and Benamoth," the entity declared, its voice now a chorus of two distinct voices, "I am Vector, the glitch of the end."
Dedcrow got up with difficulty. "No matter who you are! Sayler will eliminate you all!" they lunged at Vector, attempting to hit him with a rapid punch, but a powerful pressure of oblivion formed around them, slowing their movements.
"Oblivion," Vector uttered, his voice filled with an inescapable power. Then Vector hit Dedcrow with another powerful punch, imbued with red energy. Part of Dedcrow's armor shattered. "Destruction," Vector added.
Using his sword, with a rapid vertical slash, Vector severed Dedcrow's left arm with shocking ease. "Cut," he stated.
Vector teleported back, leaving Dedcrow shocked by his speed and powers. "Glow," said Vector, and a pillar of light formed above Dedcrow, striking them directly.
Dedcrow was still standing, but they were no longer able to fight. "Vector is a being that transcends glitches," Sylene explained, coughing blood. "He is something that surpasses even a god, he is the end of everything."
Vector emanated a powerful dark aura, and the blade of his sword darkened so much that it looked like darkness itself. "Singularity 'the end'," he declared.
Immediately, Vector made a very fast dash in front of Dedcrow and created before him an enormous, endless darkness that swallowed him. With a single slash in the darkness, Vector withdrew the shadow into himself. Nothing remained of Dedcrow, not even the pixels.
"Vector's power is to bring everything to an end," Sylene explained, her voice growing weaker. "He is the supreme glitch, the glitch of the end, and he can use every existing singularity."
Vector teleported in front of Sylene. "Lie down, Mother," he said with a surprisingly gentle voice. "I'll take care of it now."
Sylene lay down, and Vector placed his hand over the glitch-corrupted wound. As if by magic, he absorbed it, closing the lacerated flesh. "Thank you, my son," whispered Sylene.
Vector helped Sylene to get up. "Now we just have to wait for our allies to return from their battles," she said. "I imagine there will have been evolutions from them as well."
"Yes," Vector replied, his gaze fixed on the darkness of the forest. "We will wait for them."
And so, mother and son remained alone, awaiting an uncertain but promising future.
