Chapter 7:Under One Roof

Chapter 7: Under One Roof

Living with Eclipse felt like being dropped into a different planet—one where beauty routines took hours, workouts happened at dawn, and ramen was considered a sacred meal.

After being named the producer for their album, the company moved Hana into the dorm's guest suite to make collaboration easier. Translation: to keep an eye on her. Soyeon's orders.

She arrived with just a suitcase and a notebook full of lyrics. What she got in return was a crash course in idol life.

Day One

"Don't touch anything on the left side of the fridge," Jisoo warned as he walked past in pajama pants and a silk bonnet. "That's Taehyun's."

"I… wasn't planning on it," Hana muttered.

"Good. He bites."

Taehyun, who sat on the couch silently sipping black coffee, didn't even glance at her.

Jaemin popped his head in from the kitchen. "You eat breakfast, right? You look like someone who skips."

"I don't—"

"Too bad," he grinned. "We're cooking. Hope you like kimchi pancakes."

By noon, Hana had learned three things:

Jisoo was the clean freak.

Jaemin secretly dreamed of opening a bakery.

Taehyun was… still a mystery.

Late Night

She worked on lyrics after everyone went to bed. Quiet music, soft strums, messy lines rewritten twenty times. But even in those peaceful hours, Soyeon's words echoed in her head.

"Don't think living here makes you one of them. You're still just temporary. Don't get comfortable."

The words stung more than they should have.

The next few days

Minjae had a hidden obsession with horror movies.

Hyunwoo, the group's leader, loved antique calligraphy and secretly collected old fountain pens.

And Taehyun?

Hana accidentally walked in on him one evening, playing a haunting melody on the cello. Shirt sleeves rolled up, eyes closed, lost in something raw and real. She didn't know he played.

Neither did the fans.

He looked up, startled—but his expression quickly cooled.

"You didn't hear anything," he said.

But she had. And it had moved her in a way she didn't expect.

Dinner on Thursday

Hana cooked. Japchae, one of her mom's old recipes.

She watched nervously as the members tried it. Jisoo paused, blinked, and reached for more. Jaemin gave her two thumbs up. Even Taehyun took seconds, though he said nothing.

As they laughed and ate, Hana felt something warm stir inside her.

Maybe this wasn't just about music.

Maybe this could be... family.

But later that night…

She stepped into the hallway, only to hear Soyeon on the phone outside.

"I don't care how talented she is," the manager snapped. "She doesn't belong with them. Especially not with Taehyun. He needs focus—not distractions."

Hana's throat tightened.

She slipped back into her room, heart pounding.

This wasn't going to be easy.

But she'd earned her place here.

And she wasn't going anywhere.
