Grandma Pia was sitting on the long sofa facing the television. She was knitting a cap. Pia Loved knitting. She knitts almost everyday. She learnt how to knit in the orphanage where she grew up and her love for it grew strongly that she was seen knitting at every slightest leisure time. She used to knit the children's clothes in the orphanage.
A cup of tea was on the table beside her. Pia had promised to gift a good cap to her grandson Killian on his birthday but unfortunately fell sick, leaving the promise unfulfilled. She had firmly resoluted to fulfil her promise before the day of her birthday come what may. She had made him a cool black jacket on his last birthday which he liked and wore almost every night to bed. The thought of his childish choice of his nightdress made her chuckle. She had never seen a person wore a jacket to sleep and seeing her one and only grandson do it always amuses her.
She took a sip of the tea. After the sip,she looked into the tilted tea cup and shook it carefully before quickly pouring and gulping in the little remaining milky liquid. She returned the cup back to the table and continued with her knitting afterwards.
"Killian isn't back home?" She soliloquized and looked at the clock but continued with her knitting shortly. Her eyes were half closed when she watched the hand of the clock go "tiki" "tiki" round the digits drawn clearly and nice.
"I hope he doesn't sleep elsewhere today".
She taught about calling him but dismissed the thoughts as quickly as it came. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. She looked at the door but kept mute. She heard the knock again.
"Who's there"? She spoke out, still sitting.
"Ma'am it's Mr. Watkins". The voice outside spoke.
"Oh.... Come in Dr Watkins ". She suspended her knitting, stood up,picked up her teacup and headed to the kitchen. The door opened and a tall slim wrinkled face man walked in majestically towards a sofa. He was wearing a white shirt and a black trouser. A long tie hung from his rumpled neck to his protuberant belly. He looked anaemic at sight but isn't actually what the eyes thinks about his physical appearance. He was hale and healthy—even healthier and stronger than his age grades.
Dr Watkins was Pia's personal doctor. He had came to check on Pia's health. He routinely does it three times every month except when called during emergency.
"Ma'am?" He called, glancing around the vast living room. His eyes was as energetic as Pia's.
"Oh Dr Watkins, I'll be there soon". Grandma's voice made him look at the kitchen door.
Pia came out shortly with a tray of tea.
"Ma'am that shouldn't be necessary".
"No no no doc. I won't take it back to the kitchen".
He tried to push the tray away but pia held it closer to him more insistent and determinedly.
"But it wasn't part of my contract; to accept tea". And Both laughed.
"Thanks ma'am". He collected the tea and placed it on the table.
Pia sat at her usual spot she left and tried to hide what she was knitting. Dr Watkins noticed it but pretended to pay no attention. He opened a file and handed a sheet to pia. "This is the result of the test. It shows that you are fund of overworking yourself."
Pia peeped into the white sheet and wondered if it was accurate.
"Overwork?" She sniggered." How can an old woman, full of years and grey hair overwork herself?"
"I guess it took you a month to knit this". Watkins looked at the almost completed cap hiding behind the sofa pia was sitting on. Pia looked at the innocent craft and pressed her lips together feeling sheepish.
" You needn't work yourself out for too long. It's important to rest from time to time ." He stood up, picked up his file and adjusted his neck tie.
" Ok doc". Pia said.
" I do not like people who are only hearers but not doers of my words."
"No wonder you've unbelievably knitted a cap in one day." The doctor spoke looking at her hands. Pia realized that she was caught. She smiled profusely and nodded affirmatively.
"I'll come again in a week time,do take care".
"By the way, how's Killian your grandson?".
"Killian is still at work".
"Oh."he paused and checked his watch.

Killian felt a strong finger curled around his neck from behind him,and he retaliated, scrabbling towards the man's shoulder till he found his neck. Both made loud grunting sounds as they struggled. But in a jiffy, Killian unbelievably sent him crashing against the ground. Killian rushed towards him and sat on his belly, holding his throat with his left hand. He wirled his chain around his right hand and began throwing series of ruthless punches directly to his face until the man beneath him stopped responding. His distorted face was covered in blood, oozing slowly from his cheek and behind his swollen left eye. His blood stained teeth dispersed on the floor. Killian suddenly jerked away from him, breathing heavily. His face and shirt had been stained by the man's blood.
Killian's ears detected loud disorderly footsteps drawing closer and closer. He dropped something on the floor and ran into the elevator. Many men arrived there soon. They ransacked all the rooms but found no one. One thing They were very sure of was that Killian was still inside the building and they would not quit until he is found dead.
The elevator suddenly made a familiar sound. It told the people that someone—unarguably Killian was the one in there. And they all swiftly rained in unending bullets around the elevator. The random disordered sounds of the guns superseded that of a round object beeping incessantly on the floor. It's sovereignty came to an end when there was a sudden "boom". The explosion erupted out through the windows.
Meanwhile, Killian was already on the top of the building. He moved on closer to one of the edge of the building and looked down below. He saw tiny moving vehicles and ant like people parambulating around the road. He was distracted by a gun sound behind him as he looked and saw a man lying lifeless. He looked up and saw a flying mini helicopter. He waved his hands and like a bullet, ran powerfully towards the edge. On reaching the edge of the building,he leapt forward on the air and gravity did the rest of the job.
