I sat down on my bed, staring at the floating screen in front of me.
"Now that the system is active… let's see what I can do with it."
I thought for a moment, then smiled.
"Wait, I still have 1 million won in my bank account. Maybe I can do something smart with it."
I looked at the screen again.
"System, give me 10 years of experience in stock market and trading."
Ting!
Suddenly, a flood of information rushed into my mind—charts, trends, strategies, risks, everything. It felt like I had studied the market for a decade.
"Huh… this is insane. It just… popped into my head. This is way easier than I expected."
Without wasting any more time, I turned on my computer, logged into a trading platform, and started investing.
[24 Hours Later]
I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my tired eyes.
"I can't believe I've been trading nonstop for an entire day…"
I checked my bank account.
"…And I seriously made 100 million won?!"
I laughed in disbelief.
"This system is insane. Sure, I had a few small losses, but the profits… they're unreal!"
I stretched my arms with a satisfied grin.
"Alright, time to rest. My brain feels like it's going to explode."
[8 Hours Later]
I woke up feeling refreshed.
"That was a good sleep."
I went for a quick shower and glanced at the clock.
"Almost 11 AM, huh? Let's keep going. I'll try this for seven days straight… and then maybe I'll go out and enjoy myself a little."
[7 Days Later]
I stared at the screen, my hands slightly trembling.
"No way…"
I refreshed the page again—just to be sure.
3 billion won.
I laughed out loud.
"I actually did it! Three billion won in just a week!"
"In these past seven days, I kept asking the system for more experience—40 more years' worth."
"With that knowledge, I was unstoppable."
I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror.
"This system... it's seriously the best thing that ever happened to me."
I smirked.
"Well then... maybe it's time I finally show my face to the world."
I changed into a clean set of clothes, something simple but sharp.
After living like a zombie for the past week, it felt weird—refreshing, even—to care about how I looked.
"I've been stuck inside for too long," I muttered to myself, glancing at the massive number in my bank account one more time.
"Three billion won… I could buy half the damn mall if I wanted to."
I slipped on my sneakers and grabbed my phone and wallet.
"It's about time I stepped outside. Let's see how it feels to walk into a mall without worrying about the price tags for once."
The weather outside was bright, a little breezy—just right.
I called a cab and leaned back in the seat as the city rolled past the window.
People walking, shops opening, the world moving like it always did… but something had changed.
Me.
[At the Mall]
The cab stopped in front of one of the biggest malls in the city—Golden Sky Plaza.
I stepped out and stared up at the glass-covered building, smiling to myself.
"Let's see what it's like… to spend money without looking at the price."
Then My stomach growled loudly.
"Ugh... I should eat something first," I muttered, rubbing my belly. "Shopping on an empty stomach is a bad idea anyway."
I walked down the street, and soon, a huge five-star restaurant came into view. Its tall glass windows and golden lettering gave it an elegant, high-class vibe.
"Ah... this place."
I stopped in front of it, smiling slightly.
"This is the restaurant I always dreamed of visiting… but I could never afford it before."
Now, with a fat bank account and the system backing me, money wasn't a problem anymore.
Just as I was about to head in, a figure caught my eye at the nearby street-side café.
I glanced over—and my eyes narrowed.
Bai Ruxue.
She was sitting alone, sipping her drink with her usual air of arrogance—like she owned the place.
She was Li Yuxin's best friend. One of the top five campus beauties. And just as snobbish as I remembered.
I smirked.
"This… could be fun. A good place to start my little revenge."
I turned and walked toward the café. As I got closer, she noticed me—but her expression didn't change.
No surprise. She never paid attention to guys without money.
I pulled out the chair in front of her and sat down like I owned the place.
"Hey," I said casually. "It's been a while. How have you been?"
She didn't even try to hide her irritation.
Her tone was cold, sharp.
"Do I know you? Oh right... you're Chen Yu, the guy who got dumped by Li Yuxin."
She sipped her drink, bored.
"I don't have time for losers who come crawling after getting dumped. If you're hoping I'll help you get back together with her—don't waste your time."
I leaned forward, smirking slightly.
"I'm not here for Yuxin."
She raised an eyebrow.
"Oh? Then what, you came to beg me for help? Sorry, I'm still waiting for a rich guy to show up and take care of me. Not interested in broke boys."
I chuckled.
"Who said I'm broke?"
She scoffed, waving her hand like she was swatting a fly.
"Please. You think a change of clothes can fool me? You used to save every penny just to buy Yuxin cheap gifts."
I leaned back in my chair and gave her a slow, confident smile.
"You know… life's funny. Sometimes, what you think is true turns out to be the complete opposite."
She rolled her eyes. "If you're trying to sound mysterious, it's not working."
"Fine then," I said, standing up. "Why don't you come with me and see for yourself? Who knows, you might get to experience something you never have before."
She stared at me for a moment, still clearly skeptical… but something about my confidence must've made her curious.
She stood up and flipped her hair dramatically.
"Alright. But I'm warning you—if you're trying to impress me, you better be ready. I don't do cheap."
I smiled.
"I'm counting on it."
And just like that, we walked out of the café together.
