Chapter 7 Mental issues

Zydus stood up and took Lalith's palm, stepped on stairs. Lalith following him upstairs whispered in his ears;

"Grandpa Lambert asked me to come, why are you coming along?"

"You know where is study or which direction to go to find Study?" Without stopping he replied with a cursory glance at her.

"Ohhh, okay!" Believing his words she nodded understanding his care.

Leon who was downstairs already and Suya both looked at the back of couple ascending the stairs, shooking their heads with a doting smile.

It was now clear that these two people are clearly happy for them. And talking about others it's okay if we talk about them later.

Lalith was standing at door of study looking at back of Zydus's head confused as why he was knocking at the door.

'Was not he here to tell me the direction only?' She thought of telling him to go now as she can handle from here, when;

"You both are here, come inside." Grandpa Lambert opend the door of his study from inside and not a little surprised to see Zydus as if he knew he would be coming too.

Study was simple but elegant with a table and three chairs at center following with racks all around filled with books. Typical study of an old man.

"Sit Lalith and Zydus." Grandpa Lambert sat at the main chair asking them to sit down too.

Befor Taking their seats Lalith once again looked at Zydus who nodded at her. All their interaction were visible to Grandpa Lambert, who was happy to see Zydus normal and happy.

"Lalith, these are the people I listed for the party. You can add anyone or remove if you want." Grandpa Lambert passed an envelope to her.

"Ahhh, thank you grandpa Lambert." Surprised Lalith accepted the envelope thankfully.

A ring of incoming call suddenly sounded from Zydus's phone and he went outside to receive the call but not before giving a glance at grandpa and her.

"Lalith girl, Zydus... is a nice man. he searched for you for a very long time. And if I'm not wrong you are the only girl he ever get close to too." Grandpa continued looking at Lalith.

"He was raised by his grand aunt and me after his parents death. So he is a bit inhumane from outside but like a water from inside. No one knows him better than me." Grandpa Lambert said giving a sigh.

"You are a good girl otherwise Zydus wouldn't shown us you here. But I want you too understand him more and have him continue his therapy." This time it was her turn to be shocked.

'What therapy? Zydus is sick and have mental issues. He wouldn't look like he had any!' Lalith questioned herself.

"Only you can do this favour to me Lalith. Please!" Grandpa Lambert pleaded.

Lalith who was still silently listening to him looked up; " okay grandpa but I don't know how to and you don't know but we just met yesterday."

" I know everything Lalith, I have my ways." Grandpa said deeply looking into her eyes.

'Have his ways , he spied on me? No , he actually spied on Zydus, his own grandson.' Lalith abruptly stood up to argue.

"I didn't spied on him or you Lalith. But because of him, I have to let someone follow him to be safe." Said grandpa as if understanding her thoughts.

"I also know that you don't know how, why and how long he was searching for you. I know you are curious from your eyes but I want him to tell you that. It's his right." Grandpa said without giving her any chance to speak.

Lalith who was too curious, suppressed her feelings and understanding everything that happened from yesterday till now. Why he suddenly helped her, why his proposal of marriage and why she is here now meeting with his family.

While she was realising the secenerio in her mind, Grandpa was also waiting for her reply.

"Okay, Grandpa. I will wait for him." She assured him.

"Good, good!" Relived in his heart he continued talking to Lalith; "let's go for dinner dear, Lalith."

Just as grandpa said door of the study opened from outside, revealing Zydus.

"Done!" Looking at standing Lalith and grandpa he asked.

"Yes."

"Mhmmm."

Two responses came at once and a strange happiness surged in Zydus's heart.
