Vihaan, Professor Anika, and the Mysterious Girl
Dressed in a dazzling yellow suit, with perfectly applied red lipstick and an elegant gait, a woman entered the classroom. The moment she stepped in, the entire class seemed to pause for a second. This was Professor Anika—the most stunning and graceful professor in the college. She was 29 years old, but her personality was so striking that everyone in the room was drawn to her.
Without any delay, Anika began her English grammar lecture. However, more than half the class was not focused on her words but on her captivating presence. The boys nudged each other, whispered in hushed tones, and some just kept staring at her. But Vihaan was different.
He was the only one who listened to her lecture with undivided attention. The reason? Because, in the entire college, Anika was the only professor who treated him like a regular student rather than a poor boy. The other professors either pitied him or ignored him, but Anika never showed any discrimination.
"All right, students, let's talk about tenses today…" Anika's voice echoed through the class.
For Vihaan, her lectures were one of the few things he genuinely enjoyed about college. It was the only thing that made him look forward to attending classes.
The Mysterious Girl's Gaze
After Anika's lecture, Professor Varun entered the classroom. As always, he did not bother to look at any student and went straight to the whiteboard, beginning to scribble something. The class quickly descended into boredom.
Vihaan let his gaze wander around the room. That's when he noticed a seemingly ordinary girl sitting quietly in a corner.
Normal-looking face.
Round glasses.
Nothing particularly remarkable.
But there was one thing that stood out—she was staring at Vihaan!
Vihaan felt slightly uncomfortable. He looked at her, and the moment she realized that she had been caught, she immediately lowered her gaze.
"Weird…" Vihaan thought to himself and looked away. But as soon as he turned his head, her eyes were on him again!
This was no coincidence. Who was this girl? Was she really looking at him, or was it just his imagination?
A flood of questions started swirling in Vihaan's mind…
Vihaan and Neha – The Beginning of a New Story
As soon as the lecture ended, Vihaan remembered that the next period was free. Seizing the opportunity, he stepped out of the classroom and made his way to the library.
Once inside, he found a secluded seat, sat down, and opened a book. But moments later, he noticed something—
The same girl!
Neha!
She had silently followed him into the library and now sat right beside him. And then… she simply kept staring at him.
Vihaan tried to ignore it, but he couldn't for long. Finally, he decided to confront her.
"Can I help you with something?" he asked directly.
The girl smiled slightly and said softly, "My name is Neha."
Vihaan nodded, replying, "Hi, nice to meet you, Neha."
Now, both of them were sitting in a quiet corner of the library. To avoid catching the librarian's suspicion, they each picked up a book.
Neha's Secret
Flipping through the pages, Neha looked at Vihaan and said, "You must have found it strange that I was watching you."
Vihaan didn't say anything but nodded in agreement.
Neha became a little serious and, after a moment of hesitation, spoke, "Vihaan, I'm a novel writer. I was brainstorming for good story content… and then I saw you!"
Vihaan was surprised.
Neha continued, "One day, I saw some people bullying you. It struck me that your life could make a great novel. That's why I was observing you."
Vihaan looked at her, intrigued.
Neha hesitated before asking, "Can I write a novel based on your life story?"
Vihaan remained silent for a few seconds, then, with a faint smile, replied, "Sure, why not? But…"
"But what?" Neha asked eagerly.
"Just don't use my real name."
Neha smiled back and said, "Deal!"
But would Neha's book ever get published? Would she truly be able to write Vihaan's story? Or was there another hidden reason behind her interest in him?
The Meeting After College
Vihaan's day at college had been surprisingly peaceful. There was no sight of Rishabh or Arun, which meant he could spend the day without unnecessary trouble. As soon as classes ended, he stepped out of the college gates and noticed Neha walking behind him toward the library.
Vihaan gave her a natural glance, and she smiled, saying, "I'm still observing you."
Vihaan smirked slightly and replied, "Would you enjoy observing me over a cup of coffee?"
Neha chuckled and nodded in agreement. The two headed to one of Chandigarh's famous coffee shops, where they ordered two hot coffees.
The conversation started.
"So, Neha, besides studying and novel writing, what else do you do?" Vihaan asked.
Neha took a sip of her coffee and said, "I'm from Mumbai and currently studying at Chandigarh University. I stay in a hostel with a roommate."
After a slight pause, she hesitantly asked, "Can I ask you something for my novel? Do you have a girlfriend?"
Vihaan smiled and shook his head. In that moment, a soft laughter passed between them.
Just then, Vihaan overheard a conversation from the table next to them:
A man said, "Minister sir, are you serious? The land where seven encounters happened—the abandoned area of Chandigarh—is now set for a massive project?"
Another man confirmed, "Yes, Mukta ji! The company that owned that land went bankrupt. The government has now chosen it for a ₹300 crore project—a gigantic water park. Anyone investing in this project will see a minimum return of ₹1000 crore in the next five years."
Hearing this, Vihaan's mind started working in a new direction. He quickly pulled out his phone and searched for information about that location. He realized that if a water park were built there, investors would make a fortune.
Filled with new thoughts, Vihaan looked at Neha and said, "Neha, I have something important to take care of. Let's meet tomorrow morning."
Their eyes met for a final moment, leaving behind an unspoken promise.
Would this meeting lead to an unexpected turn in their lives?
