The next moment, the ground around him exploded. Slabs of black stones were sent flying into the air as grotesque worms the size of a car burst through the ground. Ear-splitting wails echoed from their eerie maws, capable of injuring any creature nearby.

His spear sliced through the soft flesh of the larva worm closest to him, ugly black blood spilling onto the ground like crude oil.

Before the system could announce his kill, he nimbly leapt from his position and sliced open the maw of the next worm. The injured beast screamed in agony but before Kaiser could even kill it, its traitorous family members tore it into pieces and devoured it.
