I love her, so I willingly gave so much.
But what I didn't expect was that Melody would think of me like this.
She doesn't love me, she's just pretending to love me under Father-in-law's arrangement.
It's both ironic and laughable.
So I've figured it out, letting go is the best ending for both of us.
Seeing my resolute attitude, Father-in-law pulled out his final trump card.
"I won't object to you and Melody getting divorced."
"But what about Honey?"
"Can you bear for her to become a child from a single-parent family?"
I took a deep breath, my heart aching like a piece was missing.
As for my daughter, although she used to despise me as a father,
I still can't bring myself to be so heartless.
After all, I raised her with my own hands.
I tiredly pinched the bridge of my nose, "As for Honey, it depends on her own attitude."
"She's grown up now, I can't stop her if she wants to go with someone."
"Uncle Ashford, please leave, I need to rest."
