Rayzen had been in fights.
He'd taken punches, knives, bottles—hell, even a bullet once. But nothing… absolutely nothing, had ever made him feel this lost.
He stood outside the small bookstore Alea always went to after school.Didn't even know why he was there. He wasn't into books. He wasn't into waiting.
But he was into her.
Jax peeked from behind a parked bike, whispering,"Dude, this is stalking. You know that, right?"
Rayzen didn't move.
"I'm not stalking," he said flatly."I'm just… here. Coincidentally."
Lior raised an eyebrow. "With a flower in your pocket?"
Rayzen quickly shoved the crushed flower deeper into his jacket.
"Shut up."
Then, he saw her.
Alea walked out of the bookstore, a bag of books in one hand, hair tucked behind her ear like always. She didn't notice him.Didn't look around.
She looked… tired.
And that did something weird to his chest.
He wanted to call her name.
But what would he even say?
"Hey, I'm the idiot who keeps getting into fights but can't stop thinking about you?"
Yeah, no.
So instead, he watched her walk away.
And for once, Rayzen felt like the guy who didn't have a plan.Didn't have control.
Just feelings.
And no idea what the hell to do with them.
To be continued…
