The air felt heavy with tension as Rayzen, Finn, and Jax stood outside the abandoned building, their eyes shifting between Alea, who was unconscious and severely injured. The only sound breaking the thick silence was the distant hum of the city, but in their corner of the world, it felt like time had stopped.
Rayzen gritted his teeth, his jaw tightening in frustration. Tonight had turned into a nightmare, and now, with Alea in this condition, the question wasn't just about how to take down their enemies—it was about how to save her.
"Alea's in bad shape," Finn said, glancing at the injured girl. "We can't just leave her here."
Jax, usually the one trying to lighten the mood in these tense situations, stood still, his face pale. "But… how are we supposed to get her to the hospital? We don't have much time."
Rayzen let out a deep sigh, running his hand through his hair. He only had his motorcycle, and that wasn't enough for a situation like this. They needed something more stable, something faster.
"Damn it," Rayzen muttered. "This isn't how tonight was supposed to go."
Suddenly, the sound of an engine reached their ears. They looked in the direction of the sound, and a sleek black car appeared on the horizon.
Kael.
The car came to a stop, and Kael stepped out, his stride confident, though there was a hint of tension in his expression as he looked over the scene. His eyes moved from Alea to Rayzen, before crossing his arms over his chest.
"You guys never stay out of trouble, huh?" Kael said, his voice a mix of annoyance and a slight touch of concern.
Rayzen shot him a glare, clearly not in the mood for Kael's sarcasm. "What are you doing here, Kael?"
"I could ask the same thing," Kael replied, narrowing his eyes. "But it looks like you need help, huh?"
Rayzen stared at Alea for a moment, then let out a heavy sigh. "Alea's hurt. I need to get her to the hospital."
Kael glanced at Alea briefly, his expression softening a little. "Alright," he said with an exhale. "I'll take her."
Rayzen blinked in surprise. "What?"
"You're not gonna fit her on your bike," Kael said with a teasing smile. "Trust me. If you want her to get to the hospital, I'll take care of it."
Rayzen hesitated for a moment, his pride battling practicality. But there was no time to argue further.
"Fine," Rayzen finally said, reluctantly. "But you're not getting off easy for this."
Kael raised an eyebrow. "I'll make sure you pay me back later."
Rayzen rolled his eyes but didn't continue the argument. They didn't have a choice.
"Take her to the car," Kael instructed, stepping toward the vehicle. Finn and Jax quickly helped Alea into the back seat, being careful not to jostle her too much.
Rayzen, however, stayed behind, his face full of frustration. "I'm coming too."
Kael glanced at him. "What?"
Rayzen nodded, his eyes narrowing. "I'm coming. No way I'm staying here alone."
Kael snorted, clearly annoyed. But he knew Rayzen wouldn't let them go without him. "Alright, get in. No more arguing."
Rayzen nodded and climbed into the front seat of Kael's car. With Alea in the back, they drove toward the hospital, taking the quiet roads. Inside the car, the atmosphere was tense, each second feeling heavy with worry.
