In a vast and ancient kingdom, where the King and Queen reigned over their people like the shade of a great tree, peace seemed eternal.
The King shared a bond as deep as blood with a neighboring monarch—a brotherhood born not of lineage, but of heart.
Yet, their alliance was never accepted by the Queen... nor the people. Because this neighboring king bore the blood of a demon.
Whispers of terror followed him and his people—demons said to prowl the night, hunting humans for sport.
High above, the Creator watched it all unfold. He saw not only the fear, but the struggle—the effort of the demon king who was once an angel cast from heaven for his refusal to understand humankind.
He had fallen, stained his grace, and embraced demonhood to seek the answer to a single question:
Why did God love humans so dearly?
In time, he came to understand.
And so, the Creator, moved by his transformation, sent four goddesses to be reborn as mortals.
Their divine mission: to bridge the hatred between humans and demons and mend what had long been broken.
But fate, as always, had other plans.
Before they reached the age of twelve, the girls witnessed their adoptive parents' souls devoured by demons.
Traumatized and full of wrath, they vowed to protect humanity at all costs—even if it meant sowing discord between the two kings they were sent to unite.
And thus, the great kingdoms were torn apart.
War followed.
The kingdom of men was shattered in defeat, and the four goddesses perished amidst the carnage—victims of the very war they helped ignite.
Humanity stood on the brink of extinction.
Yet the demon king, bound still by old friendship, offered a twisted mercy:
Each year, thirty-three pure youths—maidens or eighteen-year-old men—were to be offered as tribute.
They would be sent into his castle, never to return.
But unbeknownst to the world, these offerings were not slaughtered.
Instead, they were delivered to a hidden place—a training ground for young demons where energy was needed for their growth.
That energy came only from humans—
Drawn through taste, through a kiss, or... through the act of intimacy.
The latter, though potent, often killed the human instantly.
And now, as the cruelty reached its peak, the Creator once more looked down.
To correct what had gone awry, he sent the four goddesses again—reborn into human forms and offered as tributes themselves.
But this time, they were not defenseless.
Each girl was blessed with divine power to shield her from the demons...
and to save the innocents suffering in silence behind those cursed walls.
